Nursing bras are similar to maternity bras: they will have greater support and usually, wider sides and non-elastic straps that help reduce bounce. They typically have more breast coverage, too. But nursing bras will also have cups that open for breastfeeding, usually by dropping down and held in place with snaps or clasps.
Since breast support is all-important during nursing, an underwire nursing bra is a smart choice. The underwire is sewn between layers of fabric and runs under the bra cups. Underwire bras support the breasts as well as creating separation and lift. Besides being supportive, many underwire nursing bras are also pretty, embellished with satin or lace trim or available in fun prints and colors.
