Sent it back, there's no way this bra is designed for a 32A. Definitely size up in the cup, ladies. It was a very pretty bra. I'm hopeful that a 32B will actually have room.

Timpa Response:Now, you actually understand that this bra has a petite fit. Yes, sizing up is recommended. Lauren from Dallas, TX

This bra runs small. If you are a true 34, you might want to try a 36. Jody from Cortlandt Manor, NY, USA

Nice bra, no complaint, just like shown in the picture when I wore it, and I have breasts that point towards the sides instead of the front. I'd feel really sexy in it, my husband likes it too. Ginger from Mendocino, CA

I really love the bra. It's pretty and sexy and for the most part comfortable. The only drawback is that the underwire starts to hurt my chest by the end of the day (kind of where the bow is). But I still like it so much, I may order another color. kim from WA USA

Hands down, this is the best bra I own. I have tried a lot of bras in this size, and this one fits the best. It does fit snugly, so if you aren't used to a VERY demi cup, or a full 34A, order up a size. However, the bra is comfortable and gives a natural look and feeling. I have ordered more of this brand and style of bra. Ashley from North Carolina

Great bra, perfect fit- doesn't feel like i am wearing anything- totally sheer which can be not so great in cold weather (nipple situations), but not really a problem. I highly recommend for us small-breasted who have a hard time finding sheer bras that are actually flattering. This is the first for me! Genevieve from chicago il usa

It does run small, but I am a true A cup - B cups are too big, so I am happy with the fit of 34A. This looks nice with cincher corsets. MeToo

Probably 15 years ago I bought a bra which I have loved that looked just like this one. It has no manufacturer's tag in it - just a size tag: 34A. I am very small breasted (really AA) but 5'7" and 137# (and haven't fluctuated in weight over time), Therefore, I am not petite. Hunting for 36AA's online, I was elated that I saw this one so ordered the Timpa in 34A. Turns out I need the 36A so will exchange it. It is the perfect bra for very small breasts. (Must be that my old bra must not have been sized for just petites.) NN from Wichita, KS

Perfect! This is my 2nd bra and I loved my first one so much that I bought a second one in a different color. I'm a 32AA, but this fits great. Tracey

This is a great bra, especially for the price. I've paid twice as much for plenty of bras I didn't like half as well! As others note, it runs very small. I wear a 32C in other brands, but found the Timpa 34C fits on the largest hook. I also tried the 36B and it fit only on the smallest hook, so back it went. For reference, my measurements are 28" under bust, 33" bust. Very much a demi, as it just barely covers, but is very comfy and sexy. I'm curious to see how well it wears. I'll be ordering more! I love this bra. I think it runs a little on the small side. Usually I fit well in a 38A, but this time the 38B fit better. Meg from Ann Arbor/MI/US

The band runs very small on this bra. (I ordered a 34A). I compared it to the band on the cotton padded Timpa demi in the same band size, and this one was at least an inch smaller. That plus the narrow band means that it was cutting under the arms and creating back fat pooches. I am going to exchange it for a 36A. I am really hoping that the cups on that larger size will still fit, because it seems as though it would be an extremely comfortable bra to wear on warmer days. Miranda from San Diego, CA

This is a pretty bra, but the underwire didn't work for me. I am usually a 34AA. A size small works best for me versus a sized bra. I would try this in a 36A. Perhaps the underwires would hit me better than they did in the 34A. This is a nice bra and it's great to find a pretty one so I will try again. patio from Hopkinton, MA

My favorite bra ever! Pretty, soft, just the right support and I can wear it all day. I did not know that I could ever like underwires, but everything I have bought from Timpa is just right for me, and I am very grateful that I look like a grown-up, not a 15 year old. Annie from Connecticut

When I am thin (-25 lbs) and pretty flat, this would be perfect, but at the moment I am not so I returned it. The material is very soft and the look very attractive for an A-size. Jackie from NJ

As mentioned by many others, order one band size up. It's a very pretty bra, but has no support at all. I'll keep it, but I probably won't be ordering another. The search for a pretty and supportive 34A continues. Meghan from Illinois

This bra was painful to wear for even five minutes. I initially went a size up according to the advice here, then returned it for my regular size which technically fit. However, the under wire dug into my chest and no amount of adjusting made it comfortable. I was excited for a more mature looking bra for my small size, but this wasn't the right one for me. If you're very thin, this may not be the best bra for you. I'll be looking for something without under wire in the future.

Timpa Response: Timpa has never had a complaint about the under wire in the Timpa Duet bra before, or any other bra as a matter of fact. The only thing that we can advise is that perhaps your band was too tight and instead of going up on the cup size you should have gone up in a band, that is why the under wire usually digs in, in any bra because the circumference of the band. You might try a 36B or A and see if that works better for you. Julia from New York City

This is amazing! I usually have to settle for bras that are not quite small enough for me (and cover up everything), but this one makes me look like I'm bursting out of it. Now that I've found a bra this sexy, I have zero reasons not to love being small! The wire is even comfortable, but my usual band size is a little tight and I am going to try a 36. Hannah from PA

I LOVE this bra. It's sexy AND comfortable. It's so hard to find that combo when you are a 36A - especially in a bra that doesn't try to make me look bigger than I am. I'm planning to order more in other colors. Thanks, Herroom! Elizabeth from Michigan

I ordered my regular size, 32B, because I like bras to fit really tight in the band (otherwise they shift around too much). It is a perfect fit! Sexy and flattering... looks better on me than most push-up bras. I don't need much push-up anyway -- but I like some contouring, and this bra does the job beautifully. Jessica from Somerville MA

I usually wear a 34AA but followed the general consensus here and went up a band size, ordering the 36A. Going up a band size was definitely the right move, as I found the 36 to be quite comfortable around. However, the cups were just a bit too big for my chest. I don't know if I got an oddball item, or if this is how the bra is supposed to fit and I'm just too small; but the top of the cups puckered open. I know when you go up a band size, you go down a cup size to stay at the same "volume" (e.g., 34AA cup = 36AAA cup). So apparently an AAA isn't enough boobage to totally fill out the A-cup in this bra. :( I'd probably fit great into a 34A in this bra, but it would likely be too tight around. I'm really sad that it didn't fit me perfectly, as it has seemed to fit almost everyone else. It's so pretty and comfortable that I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to return it or try to make minor alterations to improve the fit. Five stars for the bra itself, minus one for not fitting. I did want to note that I had to extend the shoulder straps to their full length to get the best fit/comfort -- and I'm 5'4" with an average torso. One nice feature of the straps is that the little adjustor is in the front instead of the back, which you can see in the photo. I wish more bras had that feature! small and awesome from North Carolina

I immediately got online and purchased this bra after reading about it in the NY Times, 9/2/10 edition. I'm very small 'up there' and wanted a bra that wasn't a push up. Why do bra manufacturers always assume that small breasts need to be artificially made to look large? I like what I look like and only wanted to have a little support. I really hoped this would be the bra that worked. but it wasn't at all. First, it is extremely demi, such that it is cut really low in the front. I could have gotten past that if it fit well, but it did not. It was too tight across the 36 part, too nothing on the "a" part. I'm returning it, disappointed and still looking for that magic bra that works.

Timpa Response: Absolutely, per the comments it seems to me you need size 38B bra. Usually clients think the 36A would fit but in the Timpa you would be a 38B as the sizes run small on purpose, as it is a petite line. I hope you will try the 38B. tricia from cazenovia, ny
