For light control that enhances and smooths bulges, this was a fantastic choice. The only drawback I've experienced is that the base does stay down for awhile, but as you sit and move (or need to bend over/down, esp) the bottom will roll. Another garment like a garter belt over it, for hose, does solve this problem, but then you have to wear full length hose instead of more convenient knee-high's. Madeleine S. from Lawrence, KS

I love this shapewear! I don't generally pay that much for undergarments. But I thought I would take a chance and I am so glad I did! It fits wonderfully and doesn't ride up. True to size and fit. You get what you pay for and in this instance.. it's definitely true. Michelle from Wilmington NC

I would give this 5 stars but it has some downsides, which prompt the 4 stars. First of all, great piece of shapewear. Unlike full body camis, this does not "push down" the breasts - which creates the perception of bigger rather than smaller as you lose definition (i.e. your torso looks like one big shapeless lump). This, in contrast, smooths the torso while letting you wear the bra of your choice...it slims and gives the perception of definition between breasts and rest of torso. Definitely a winner - something you can wear daily.

So why not 5 stars? Well, downside 1: in the beginning, the straps dug into my armpits - it's rather unpleasant and gets painful after extended wear. This has been solved as I have laundered the item many times so likely it's only something to worry about in the beginning. Downside 2: the silicone - which is great - starts to wear away and come off, creating little "spaghetti like" pieces handing from your shapewear. This is not a big deal but it doesn't look great - they were likely better off creating thicker pieces of silicone on the inside so that it didn't break away so easily. Finally, downside 3: it does tend to roll up if the silicone isn't against your body (in which case it stays put). Therefore, more often than not, you'll have to wear your underwear on top of the torsette....it's not a big deal, just a solution I found to prevent it from rolling.

TC Fine Shapewear Response: 1. Straps – my guess is that the size is too small. While you provided your size and height, without actually seeing you, it is difficult to determine if you are broad in the back a/o full in the midriff (which is my guess). If so, you may need a XL. The straps, designed with a cushioning, should be ultra-comfortable, but will dig in if the garment is too small.

2. Silicone problem – This may be a manufacturing defect. On occasion, the supplier will receive fabric with an invisible coating of manufacturing “oil” which could prevent the silicone from permeating the fibers (fabric) as it is designed to do. If so, then the unraveling effect could occur.

3. Roll-up on body. The silicone is designed to adhere to underwear a/o to the skin. Again, my guess is that you need a larger size.

This is a nice piece, not 5 stars but certainly a full 4. Pluses include the ability to wear your bra (and it's benefits) and getting the benefits of shaping without having your chest "smushed" against your body. The product is well made. Runs true to size in my opinion. Negatives (and reasons for 4 instead of 5 rating): although the hem has silicone to prevent roll-up/ride-up, it is not particularly effective. Also, the straps can end up digging a bit into the lower armpit after a longer period of wear. All in all, it provides good shaping. The fabric is nice and provides for a good foundation for under your clothes. Definitely a keeper. JFNL from Netherlands

I just love this item. I have been wearing the a similar TC camisole that had a built in bra shelf. I would still need to wear my bra underneath since my girls are a full DD. With this item I can wear a bra and show my girls! I had such a hard time finding this item in stores. Megan from Gainesville, FL
