This item works well and stays in place when sized correctly. According to the size chart I am a solid medium. I couldn't even get the medium on it was so tight. I have an hour glass shape. I recommend sizing up. I chose to return this item because the straps are very wide set. They kept wanting to peak out from under my sleeveless dress. Almb

I assumed that because the product was Spanx, I could rely on the brand to be worth the investment. I had no problems with the item itself, but if I would have known that the band at the bottom that was to keep the slip from riding up wouldn't have been as effective as I'd like, I wouldn't have spent the money on Spanx and would have relied on a less expensive brand. I'm a size 10-12 and I normally order a large in spans but even an XL was way too tight! I could hardly breathe in it, I can't imagine wearing it for hours. D from Denver CO

I ended up returning this because it didn't work with the dresses I needed it for. I wanted something to wear as a slip, not necessarily a shaper, under lower cut, flowy, jersey dresses. This would have worked had it not been cut so tight around the legs. The dresses hit it funny when I walked with it on and made it obvious that you were wearing a shaper. Kind of defeats the purpose. I wish Spanx, or anyone for that matter, would make shapers with more flowing skirts. I hate the shorts because you can always see where the leg ends. Jessica from Helena, MT
