Certainly holds you in tight. I bought medium because that's what I buy in t-shirts and it was a struggle putting it on. I figured out that it's best to step into it and pull it up. Once I had it on, it gave me the smooth flat fit I was looking for under a silky dress I bought it for. No lines or bulges and it doesn't feel binding or constricting.
