This is a really nice product. It is comfortable and easy enough to put on. I agree with the other reviewer who suggested using some baby powder to help make getting it on easier. I am surprised how well it stays up, given that I am very short-waisted, and after awhile I didn't even notice I was wearing it. I have NO butt so it feels a little "roomy" in the seat. I have tried using the gusset, which works fine, but also if you are leery of it, then it is easy enough to pull the garment down like underwear. I have 2 and wear them several times a week. With the band on the top fitting snug under my breast bone area, this garment shifted unwanted weight to my waist. It gives no support or definition for the waist. Maybe some women carry weight differently and this works for them. I'm trying to find an undergarment for my mother of the bride ensemble that has a very fitted sequined tank top that goes to the waist. The zipper is on the side. I need a bustier to smooth my torso area just a tad so the zipper is easier to maneuver. Cheryl from Foothill Ranch, CA United States

I love spanx. So far, it is the best shapeware I've tried, and I wear it most days. But I do have some issues with it. One of those issues is that the quality of shaping seems to have gone down. I'm a post bariatric patient-- I've lost over 80 pounds so far and have about 40 pounds left to go, and I lose the weight nice and slowly. I have a ton of loose skin from my weight loss, and while I'd like to have plastic surgery someday to nip, tuck, and liposuck, I am waiting for things like losing all of the weight and finishing having babies first. In the meantime I don't feel comfortable without shapewear. The area below my bra line and above my hips is the worst-- I have skin that droops and then some and more flab than I can handle. So when I discovered spanx I was excited. I found a couple of good products that worked really well and gave even me a stomach that was nearly flat without making my bottom flatter than a pancake. However, one long term criticism I have of spanx relates to their labels. I tend to buy a couple of different things at around the same time. Then I wait and see what what I like and how it holds up over time, etc. Well when I look at the favorite garments to see what they are and the size and so forth, I can't tell with spanx. So I have to try and guess. I had liked slim cognito too, but not as much. this just seems to get less zoned and more likely to slip down all the time. At the moment, I suspect the stuff that works the best is the tops of the all the way up panty hose. That has problems too-- I like it when I can get thigh shaping and control, but I don't really want panty hose. bookgoddess from IL

If felt great and it wore well except around the waist which kept sliding down. Lower body looked great upper body lumpy.

HerRoom Response: You state that you are petite in stature. High-waisted shapewear usually doesn't work on petite women - too much fabric. This is why it probably kept sliding down. CD from Texarkana Texas USA

I loved the fabric, the fit was okay but a bit on the large size. They did what I wanted them to do however I would have liked a little more control in the belly. After several hours they began to slide down, not roll but slide, glad I was close to home. I will purchase more as I haven't found any that work better but hope they put body clinging fabric at the top for improvement to a good product. Katie from Carmel, Indiana USA

Works great, makes form fitting clothing very flattering. The only complaint is that it is not comfortable for all day wear. What we do for beauty! ElisaH from USA

It's hard to get into, but that is the point, right? It really smoothes your waist line. Lost stars because of the vertical line in the front - it shows under tight dresses.... Gabriela from Fremont, CA

It really does lift and tuck your body. My only problem is that it rolled down in the back. I tried tucking it under my bra which helped. Overall the product is awesome. I would buy more! Holly from Lakeville, MN

Good fit. Hard to get it on the first time, but once on, it really smoothes things out and eliminates that dreaded waistline roll. You can forget about using that split crotch, but it's really not too hard to pull this down when nature calls. Great under a slinky knit dress. Janie from New York, NY USA

I've recently purchased this item. I haven't wore it yet but will in few weeks to a wedding. I did try it on under a form fitting dress and it helps smooth out all those buldges. I had a baby 6 mo. ago so, I still have some weight to go. Madison from San francisco

Too large. I should have followed the sizing chart not the suggestion to buy the same size Shaper as my pantyhose. My comment may be exclusive though to those of us who face 100 degrees daily starting in June. The Shaper was only to make a single impression on new in-laws, 3 states north of here. Did not make me thin, just smoothed out the bulges and made the outfit look more elegant. Other reviews were very helpful. Honesty in ordering the size is a must. They were just a little difficult to get into, but totally comfortable to wear. I will buy more in the future. Catherine from Owings,MD,USA

I have it on as I am typing this. It's wonderful, not restricting and amazingly comfortable. Does not roll down AT ALL. When I sit my own rolls are gone however, I'm sure they will re-appear when I take it off. Great product. Dixie from Lancaster, Pa USA

I ordered the size that put me right in the middle of the size chart range. It was so small I couldn't even put it on. The waist band also seems very bulky. But since I couldn't get it on I really can't judge! Ellen from NY

The top band stays in place, and there were no visible signs of the Spanx at my thigh since there is no band there. These were very comfortable. I love them and will definitely be a repeat buyer! Tracy from Holloman AFB, NM

Hey, even at size 4 a buldge is a buldge....these things are terrific--smooths it all away! At my age, I will take all the help I can get especially under clingy dresses. Definitely worth it. suzi from washington pa

I bought these to wear under a bridesmaid dress that I have to wear just 4 weeks after having my second child--yikes! I think they do a great job at all over smoothing but I think I should have looked for a product that focused on tummy control. I still have quite a poochy belly from being pregnant and these don't do a whole lot to reign it in. If you're looking for moderate all over smoothing, this is a great product. I was between two sizes and I went up one size as recommended. Spanx does not feel like a girdle though you have to wiggle into it. It felt really good on. It smoothes and firms the giggling parts. One problem is that although I'm average height, I'm on the shorter end of that average and if I bent over or raised my arms in my short dress, Spanx was just visible. Ellen from New Jersey

I didn't have a hard time putting these on, and the gusset crotch really is convenient. The waistband actually stays up and doesn't roll down. I can even tuck it under my bra. Makes lumps and bulges disappear. Love it but would've liked more control. Other than that, well done item. sheralyn w. from OH
