Soft-cup bras, bras with no underwires, can be very comfortable. Adding a front-close feature can make a bra seem effortless. Front close bras can have one, or as many as 5 or 6 hook-and-eye closures or clasps on the center panel. A soft-cup front closing bra will usually have a very smooth back making it a good choice under clothes. This style is sometimes seen in sports bras, where support is provided by compression and encapsulation.
Another popular style of front-close wireless bras is the leisure, or sleep, bra, which is also a good choice post-surgery. The front-closing makes these bras easy to put on and take off. The cups are usually made of a poly blend with spandex, which provides stretch, comfort and some level of support, although soft-cup bras will not typically have the same amount of support that underwire bras do. |
