Shock Absorber Response: I would suggest sizing up a cup to HH. This bra style is very scooped in the front and sides so there is not as much coverage. But the support is there!

I am 34 DD and always been a Nike girl until augmentation. Now in searching online reviews for sports bras. I came across this one. I love how it holds the girls in and I can run well without too much jiggle. I should most likely size up to a 34 E except I hate too much fabric on bigger bras. Although this is the first sport-support bra I have found that was made for larger cup size and normal trunk size, I am pleased with the suspension control effect but a bit disappointed in the "Uni-boob" effect of the cup form of the bra. I expected the squeeze and hold control of the sports bra, but would still like the lift and separate elements of the attractive undergarment style. According to all the sizing and measuring procedures, I got the correct size and it is very comfortable in the strap, shoulders, underarms, and band area. Karen from Boise, Idaho, USA

Great bra - true to size - comfortable. Only down side - while the top and bottom back bands can be adjusted separately to accommodate back width (great), the top hook is tough to reach and can press uncomfortably when doing any exercises on my back. Karen from Fircrest/WA/USA

This bra gave me bright red and extremely painful welts on both my sides, just to the rear of my underarms. I was nearly in tears wearing this bra...not the effect Shock Absorber is going for, I'm sure. I normally wear a 32H or 32I 'everyday' bra and always go up a band size in sports bras as they are always made smaller. So going with that logic and HerRoom's sizing guides I chose a 34HH. When trying it on at home, the band was smooth and straight all the way around; a 36HH would have been too loose, especially for any form of exercise. You need the girls to stay in place.

I would guess that the size may not be accurate since you said it rubs behind your arm. Though without seeing it on this is difficult to determine. I just received this bra in a 40F. It runs small and is very tight around the rib cage. If you are a 40DDD or F, get a cup size bigger, and the band size bigger. It is very tight fitting. If you want a bra that fits right and you are looking for comfort and great fit get the Anita extreme control 5527 40f. believe me I have spent a LOT of money on bras in the last 6 years and Anita is the BEST!! karin from southwick,ma

This is a great, supportive bra - really stops the bounce in running or high-impact activities. It's not "wear-all-day" comfortable, but for workouts it's excellent. I'm currently pregnant, so my cup size increased...but this bra is definitely marked 2 cup sizes bigger than it really is. I'm a 32DDD/E, but had to buy a 32FF in this bra to get it to fit! The cup support of this bra seemed very good - minimizes bounce. But, the chest band would not lay flat in front, and compromised the support. I wouldn't recommend it for people with small band size (I'm a 32). Diana from CA

Overall, this bra has worked well. Since I purchased it several months ago I have lost almost 20 pounds so it's beginning to fit a little loose. Other reviewers said it was very difficult to get on and off. This was true initially, but I have mastered it now and can do it on my own. The bra fits well and is comfortable. No chafing at all. My one and only complaint...the uni-boob look since the very first day I wore the bra. Other than that, a great bra. This is a great sports bra for big chested girls! The only annoying thing, but you get used to it, is the hooks in the back. A little tricky to do at first. Great support, the thing must weigh a good pound on its own but it holds the girls up even when I'm running, jumping, etc. Definitely recommend! from Boston, MA

I have such a hard time finding bras that fit me and, until now, it was impossible to find a sports bra that fits. This bra is a bit tight, but it actually covers all of my massive breasts and hold them up. It's a bit hard to get in and out of, but once I'm in it, it holds me firmly in place. As with a lot of women my age, my breasts are heavy and not at all firm, making it necessary to have full coverage. If the coverage isn't good, when I bend over, they fall out the top. This doesn't happen with the Shock Absorber Max. Wires are so uncomfortable and I just don't wear them. This holds me up without wires. It isn't ideal, since it creates a uniboob that is massive, but it's better than them hanging to my navel. I don't jog, but if I need to hurry a little, they don't bounce out of my bra. It's also a bit easier on the shoulders. The only thing ideal for my breasts would be a reduction. This is the next best thing. Debbie from Houston, TX, USA
