PROS: - Fits my 36FF chest just fine. - No chafing. - Chest isn't sore after my 5 mile runs every day. - Looks cute enough to not wear a shirt with it, if you like. CONS: - A tiny bit difficult to put on because of the top hooks. - Not ideal for very high impact activity (ex: plyometrics). - Slight uniboob-age. All in all, this suits my purposes just fine. You can run and do yoga and pilates in this thing, no problem. But if you're looking for something to stop all movement, this bra isn't the one. Still, a very good bra and totally worth the price. This is a great bra for high intensity workouts. The fit on the band was snug so if you are an in-between size, you might want to consider going with the bigger size. However, after a few uses, it has settled in well for me and doesn't feel so tight. I use it when I run and also for HIIT and have noticed no bounce, chaffing, or discomfort. A big bonus is that is that its easy to put on and take off. Aks from India

Great support, especially for high intensity exercises (running, HIIT, etc). A little tricky to get that 2nd snap closed, but worth it for a supportive racer-back bra. Love. smm from San Francisco, CA

I have finally found a supportive bra that I can jog in. I have always had a problem with being unable to find a bra that is large enough and supportive enough for me. I love that this bra does not have underwires. It is made very well and has quality stitching. The straps are close enough in the back to allow for tanks. I am definitely ordering another! There are not many sports bras out there for this size and this one does a good job considering. This is my second Shock Absorber bra that I have purchased. Tara from Atlanta, GA

This bra is AMAZING for runners. It doesn't shift, bounce, or distract me at all while I'm running, which is something I never could have imagined. I was a small 38H when I bought this (remember, this is UK sizing) and didn't find I needed to size up at all. If anything, because I knew I'd be losing weight, I wanted it to be on the tighter side--I gambled on the size, and got lucky on the first try. Buying my second one 18 mos later because it's now way too big. :) Jen from Boise, ID

One of the only razor back bras that fits a large chest with small ribs. It isn't the most comfortable but it's better than most. It does give the uniboob look. It's good for lower impact activities like cycling and yoga. I wouldn't run in it. I'm a 30H almost always, but as suggested by other reviewers, I ordered the 32HH (size up in both cup and rib) and it fits OK. I'd be tempted to try a 30J if they made it. Best thing about this bra? The razor back is held with two separate sets of clasps, two hooks each. This makes it much easier to get on if you are flexible enough to do your bra up behind yourself. You can hook the lower ones (easy) and have those hold while you struggle with the upper ones (hard). I don't see any way to get this bra on by the front-clip twist-around method (if you have very large boobs and small ribs). Gail from San Francisco, CA USA

Can't recommend this bra enough. I wore a 40I in most US bras when I purchased this, but between the conversion to UK sizing and recommendations on Amazon to size down a tad, I went with the 38F and have been extremely happy. Now that I've dropped 20 pounds, I'm having to buy a smaller one, but the girls have been happy through more than 200 miles of running. Love it. Jen from Boise, ID

I wouldn't recommend this bra for anyone over DD. Great support, but made really small. Had the side boob problem. Their run bra style number B5044 has fantastic coverage and support so I will be buying more of that style.

I am normally a 34G. I am now 23 weeks pregnant and my breast have grown over the last couple of months. I chose the Shock Absorber based on reviews and it is an OK sports bra. It fits, which is important, and holds up the girls comfortably. You do have to put it on overhead, so it's a bit inconvenient but not really a deal breaker. The major issue I have is how this bra creates a uni-boob look; it's pretty horrendous. I am keeping it because of limited options in size.

HerRoom Response: Try D+Max Support Sports Bra. This sports bra is designed for the full-busted and full-figure woman. Paulina from Pembroke Pines

May be perfectly fine in smaller sizes for smaller frames, but for a larger body and large chested woman, this will not provide adequate support. The front is fine (although size 38H perfect fit with other styles of bras did not translate into a remotely decent fit for this bra), but the back had very skinny straps that provided no anchoring support at all for the weighty chest in front (2 0.75" straps with 2 hooks each, one around the back of the diaphragm and a second which joins between the shoulder blade to create a racer back). Combined they do not provide the necessary support and if you are not toned at all, this creates very uncomfortable bulges. If you are in this size range, I would highly suggest picking something that has a wider strap across the back (at least 3 inches minimum) to provide a proper support for the weight in front. Despite already having done significant research before buying this product, I will be starting over in my search.

Shock Absorber Response:You should try going up a size. Perhaps this will allow the bra to fit properly and not show bulging in the back(which there shouldn't be). The bra needs to fit snug, but not too tight that it doesn't allow proper coverage and support. The racerback design should hold you in place. Both the straps and band are adjustable so may be tailored to support sizes up to a 40HH. If it's not the size that is an issue, then it seems like the B4490 is not the bra for her shape. Another option would be to try the D+ Max Support Bra which is available up to a 40H. Shel from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

This item did not fit my breasts.

Shock Absorber Response: I would suggest sizing up a cup to HH. This bra style is very scooped in the front and sides so there is not as much coverage. But the support is there!
