I tried on the bra and it doesn't really offer much support, then again, it's probably not supposed to. The bra itself was very pretty and there's a cute crystal in the center...gives it a classy and expensive look. I will be testing the bra out this weekend so we'll see how it "holds up"...LOL. Love it! 40 is the better fit, as I previously got a 42 and it was too loose. It fits me nicely. I have small breasts, only about an A cup, so not much to shelf, but this looks really good on me. Very difficult to find a bra to fit a 42A, but the 40 shelf does the job nicely. Very pretty, very feminine and very well put together. Stanley from Batavia
