A molded bra has cups that are fabricated and shaped from a single piece of material, creating cups without any seams. These seamless molded bras create a smooth silhouette under clothes. Molded bras are available in many styles, including underwire, soft cup, convertible, plunge neckline, sports bras and others.
Although sometimes the descriptions 'molded' and 'contoured' are used interchangeably, especially with seamless bras , there is a difference. Contour bras have foam or fiberfill padding, holding their shape even when not being worn. So, while all contour bras are molded, not all molded bras have the padding that would make them contoured.
