| When you step out of the shower or the pool, nothing is as absorbent as a terry robe. Terry cloth is a fabric, knit or woven, with loops to absorb great amounts of water. Some terrycloth is called French terry, which has one side of knit loops and a reverse side that is flat. French terry is especially popular for clothing. Manufacturers offer a wide variety of terry robes, but whatever your taste, you'll find just the right robe to wrap you in warmth and softness. Some styles are a knit or woven fabric on the outside and lined with terry on the inside. While most terry robes are cotton, some contain polyester or lycra for durability shape retention. |
