This is the only waist nipper I've tried that pulled me in this much at the waist and gave me a great (flat belly) profile too. And this definitely pulls your waist in better than any other. I usually wear either The Body Wrap High Waist Thong or Maidenform Back slimming top to cover the hooks in the front if I wear this under something stretchy. Toni from USA

I honestly didn't think this was even going to fit around my waist, but it did with no problems at all (start hooking from the bottom) and the finished look was incredible. I felt supported, but not strangled, and it definitely took inches off of my waist. I haven't worn it while eating though - I'm a little worried about that. But I can say with certainty that it's fantastic for a vintage silhouette. About sizing: the chart recommended I buy a medium, but I wear a size 4 always, so I ordered a small, and that was perfect. Not the best in shaping,.Yes, it creates a waist, but the net fabric is really flimsy, and holds nothing in. Customer from NY

Fans of the Rago 21 will be thrilled with this satin-fronted version of the waist-cincher. Although it does not come with garters, it is easy enough to search for them on the internet and sew them on. This is the most comfortable and effective way to nip in the waist and flatten the tummy for a smooth hourglass figure. It also provides flexible back support! I love it! Women always comment on how well my shape has come back after giving birth, but my secret is this Rago waist cincher! I highly recommend it! MamaVixen from Irmo, SC, USA

I love this waist girdle. I first tried the 6X based on measurements, but the 5x whittled off more and was still comfortable. Susan from Houston/TX

I was hoping this would come down over my bottom a little bit, but it was just bulky and uncomfortable. I was looking for comfort so I like the Flexees much better.

Rago Response:This is a high waisted garment intended for midriff and waist shaping firm control. Sorry this garment did not meet your expectations. Thank you for your comments. Erica from Mckinney

I recently had a baby and wanted a cincher to control my tummy that prior to baby was a 6 pack. I talked at length with a representative through their online chat about what size to get. She assured me I needed a 2XL, which surprised me as I'm usually a 4. It didn't seem right, but I trusted her and got it. Well, it did absolutely zero cinching and just kind of fit like a shirt that was my exact size. I wanted it to cinch my waist and it did none of that. So I ordered a Large. This fit my hips and under my bust perfectly. It also did a much better job of pulling in my waist. But, it really doesn't do enough in my opinion. It's ok, but not what I was hoping for. What I'd love is what a corset does for my waist but smooth enough to wear under clothes. So this cincher is probably as good as it gets.

Rago Response:If you want more shaping you might try a smaller size. This garment should be located on the body, in general, fitting is under the breast plate and then adjusted to the consumers desires. Thank you for your comments. Rebecca from Hanford, Ca USA

I love this cincher. I wear a waist cincher on a daily basis and this Rago is the most comfortable and has the best support for an awesome silhouette. Since I wear them every day I have to buy a replacement approximately every six or seven months. Eventually with these guys the boning will start to poke out, but I think that is only with intense wear. Anyway, I love it. Once in a while I order a different one but end up returning it and opting for the Rago. It's perfect. Nancy from Portland/OR

This garment is real shape wear! It gave me the hour glass shape I wanted. Not the most comfy thing I have ever wore. I had to have my husbands help to get it on.Then I wore a Bodywrap Hi waisted thong over it so the hooks would not show through. I had shape. Lea from the delta Ms

It's comfortable and holds me in where it counts. I wish it was a few inches longer on the bottom though. Other than that, I love it. :) Chelley from Raleigh,NC

Although it is a little uncomfortable, I love this product. It quite literally shaves INCHES off of my waist. The way it makes me looks is more than enough for me to suffer just a little. Mindy from Wisconsin, USA

This waist nipper should say for people who already have a waist. (I used to!) My body and a waist nipper just didn't match up. No fault of the design... Mary from New Hampshire

The nipper is helpful but not quite as much as hoped. I've purchased other Rago items which seemed to have more/better compression than this but all in all not bad. I ordered a large originally as designated per my natural waist size 32" and it was essentially useless. I returned for medium which was better for me. Michele R from St. Louis MO

Love the emphasis on the "waist"! Bought it in beige and black. Gives you that hour glass figure better than any other waist nipper I have worn. Rhonda from Hayden, Alabama

After buying and returning 4 different waist nippers, I have to admit I wasn't very optimistic about this one but boy was I surprised! I bought a vintage dress (from the '40s, when corseted waists were the norm) and needed to take two inches off my waist to fit into it. (Why I didn't just get the dress altered is a discussion for another day, lol) This one took off two and a half! Totally did the trick - gave me a teeeeny waist but left my hips and rib cage as is so I just got a more pronounced hourglass figure. (Quite a bit more than the model in the picture, actually) Exactly what I wanted! As far as comfort goes, it's not as comfortable as wearing a t-shirt (I def. take it off the second I get home) but it's not so restrictive that I can't still dance in it. Also, I haven't had any problems with the hooks showing through clingy fabrics. it does pucker a bit when I sit down and if I am sitting for a long time I do have to tug it back down into place. Most items in this department are for the average person, but this has a good fit, even for me and I'm 4 feet 11inches tall. It also let's you breath! Ellen from Baltimore MD

This waist nipper makes a significant 2 inch reduction in my waist. It is the most comfortable I've found at also the best price. I wear it all the time with dresses. I only gave it 4 stars because the one I wore for my wedding 6 months ago has already stretched out and one of the side bones is bent and gives me a funny lump on one side...so I'm buying another. My mother tried one on though and it didn't work on her with a 40" waist measurement. Anyone 36" or under it should work well for. Worth the $$$. Carinna from Biloxi, MS

This waist nipper is a little long for a petite frame so I had to fold mine under. Otherwise it is awesome! I think I am going to invest in the additional cost of having it professionally shortened. This one is a keeper! Denise from St Louis

This shapewear is excellent. It instantly flattened my tummy which is my problem area. Other waistnippers I tried at the mall did not do that. Now I am feeling confident about my upcoming bridal fitting. Emeld from Detroit,MI

Like the Fit the waist nipper had to be reduced because the size chart was wrong we took it in ourselves rather than send it back. Perfectly satisfied after it was reduced.

HerRoom Response: We confirmed with Rago that our size chart is accurate. jan from port clinton Ohio

It streched out on me very quickly wish i would have gotten a smaller size

Rago Response: A smaller size would accommodate better for you, but this item can be moved up and down on your hips and waist for the position to accommodate the best fit and accomplish the shaping function. Karye Lynn from newport beach,ca

NO SUPPORT I've been buying waist nippers for years and this is worse than the ones you get in Walmart. It stretched out after the first wear and I just wore it a 2nd time and it sticks out everywhere. It's not smooth and this girl in the picture is probably 1 size smaller than the one she's wearing phunchurchgirl from Richmond, TX

I like the way this feels around the waist and middle. The only thing I don't like is how far down it goes in the back. It covers part of my bum and leaves an indentation. I like to wear waist cinchers with all my clothes but I can't with this one because it shows especially with slacks. So it is a keeper. Norma

About a month ago, I saw the holidays coming and like a lot of women, I knew I would look better in my holiday dresses if I lost 15 pounds. But there was no way I could realistically do that. So I bought this and I started wearing it all the time -- so I'd get used to it. Here's what happened. I look so much better, it's just amazing. It holds me in and, well that makes a big difference. So, ... the holiday parties have been just wonderful. Heather from Chicago, IL
