I have always worn shapewear ( even when I was young and thinner) I just think it makes clothes look good. For years I wore Playtex 18 hr girdles but, they are no longer being made. I have been searching for a brand that I would be happy with and I have found it in Rago 6226. I worried about the stays but they are fine. As with all my fine lingerie I wash them by hand so they last a little longer. I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to buy Rago 6226 and search no more. Thank you. I have never bought underwear online but this is the best purchase I have ever made. I weigh 350lbs and I want to start running again and I needed something to keep my fat flap from slapping my knees while I exercise. This is it!! I chose a Rago panty, and I will again. However, the one I received had the waistband separate from the rest of the garment after the 2nd wearing. Since I had worn it, I know I can't exchange it; I also know that is not the usual quality I get from Rago products. Earlene from Hampton, VA

This garment offers more control than things like Spanx but could best be described as medium to light control. Waste stays put and does not produce a bound up feeling. Just the thing to augment panty hose. jh from Atlanta

I hate to give Rago a poor review because I love so many of their products but I recently received this model and half the stitching broke and pulled apart after wearing it for just 2 hours. It fit fine and wasn't even tight but I kept hearing the stitches pop, when I removed it it was all frayed across the waist band. Obviously I will be sending this back as it is defective.

Rago Response: Tensile strength of sewing thread can vary. The breaking point on the thread sounds like it is below specification . Rago uses a very high stretch thread treated for strength as well as stretch. Sounds like this was an inferior thread batch. Pam

These are true to size, and the waistband keeps them from rolling. They only slightly hold my tummy in. In this I was a bit disappointed, as the "Tulip" tummy shaping panel did not shape my tummy nearly as well as the 6206 Girdle does. Once again, Her Room sales and shipping are superb. I had a problem with finding my size, I normally wear a size 3x but in your sizes it confused me because with my first order I ordered my 3x in this garment and when I received it my daughter who wears a size 8 could wear this so I didn't have to send it back she wanted it. I then reviewed your size chart again and reordered the 6x in Black and White this was not the size I needed once again because I could have used one size up and this would have been good. I'm keeping these anyway because they do fit just a little snug but this is OK.
