My boyfriend bought me this girdle when I complained about being a few pounds heavier than normal. I ABSOLUTELY love this garment and now I own 5 Rago girdles. It's amazing how comfortable it is and I wear one almost every work day. I often wear short shirts with my girdle which results in a "girdle peek" that reveals the lace cuff. I often wear shapers or control top pantyhose, but this was my first real girdle. For a good friend's wedding, I had bought this dress that is so cute, sexy, and, oh, did I mention, really tight around the hips and booty. I mean that dress feels and looks like only body paint sprayed there, haha. I decided I needed a little more than the usual help, so I bought myself this Rago. It was an experience to put on! But when I wore this girdle that dress looked to die for. This girdle felt a little different than any of the other shapewear that I wear quite frequently. More controlling and firm, but not uncomfortable. Even so, I worried that for an extended period and in different positons, it might ultimately be uncomfortable. I planned to wear it a number of days before the wedding to try, but somehow never did. So, I decided the day of the wedding to put it on the moment I got up and at least test things a little that way. My husband kept staring at me. I was like "what?" He just said I looked nice. I am asking him "just in my girdle?" The wedding was great. I got so many compliments. I know I was hott and that dress was smokin.' And kept getting asked to dance. I noticed my dance partners' hands lingering on my hips and other nearby places. It was a real turn-on. I told my husband and he said he noticed. The next day, though, I was so sore I could hardly get out of bed. I hurt in places I didn't even know I had muscles. It was all that girdle's fault! Even my sore throat, haha. My husband didn't let me sleep but a wink. Kept waking me and, well, you know, all night. OMG, I didn't know there were such positions or I could get into them, hehe. Forget Viagra. I bought the Rago shaper for my wedding. After looking at and trying on many shapers, including a very well known brand, I settled on this one. I could not be more pleased with it. Not only does it do the job effectively, it is pretty. I love the lace details and the boning on the sides. The garter clips are a nice option but don't stick out or cause extra lumps and bumps. The waist comes up high enough to tack some below the bra rib cage muffin and the legs stay in place without digging in to my thighs. After making this purchase I am excited to add more Rago pieces to my collection and am so happy to have found this brand. Shay from Atlanta

I wore this under a poplin shirt dress. It really helped add structure and smoothness. It was a little awkward to get into and I periodically had to adjust the top where it pressed into my ribs but much of my discomfort was probably due to not yet being acclimated to shapewear. It was also very pretty and flattering without anything over it and I especially liked the attached garter belts. Nita from CA

This is my second Rago long leg girdle and it won’t be the last! As a plus size model, I get to see and sometimes wear a lot of nice lingerie but… this girdle is way better than any of the Spanx or control top pantyhose styles I have worn or modeled in before. The lace fabric makes it pretty and you don’t feel like you need to hide it like some of the bike-shorts type girdles that look like men should wear them! I also like that this girdle can be worn with my sheer, thigh high stockings which match up perfectly with the length of the retro garters in the legs. If you are looking for a pretty, comfortable and smoothing girdle, this is the one to buy. It’s not just my opinion, I test modeled this girdle with white stockings and white wedding style pumps for my photographer Andrew and he gave it 5 stars and two thumbs up! Though I'm in my early thirties I'm a veteran in girdles. Have always loved wearing them, I'm very different than the gals who let it all hang out ugh. So wearing this was a pleasure for me from the start , with a nice shiny pair of tights underneath. Great for under trousers but I prefer my OBGs like my Playtex 18 hour. I received this garment today. I have worn Rago support garments before and this was the same quality and fit. The customer service was very helpful since I was in between sizes and wasn't sure which size garment to buy. It was easy to get on and will work well. The crotch opening does seem to be off centered as another customer noted so I am not sure how that will work. All in all, I would purchase this item again. Sharon from Virginia

pros: this is an outstanding design- not only retro cute but really effective and so affordable! cons: rago's sizing system is horribly off. i wear a different size in every style of theirs that i own. huge fan of the brand but grow up and get your sizing figured out, Rago. their xs waist cincher fits me perfectly. i could not get into this item in size S no matter how i tried, and the L is too big. I like this item except for the crotch opening which seems to be anatomically impossible to use as it off centered. This girdle definitely sucks you in and you have to struggle to get on, but once in place it serves its purpose. Ahips from RVA

This is prettier than some body shapers, but the fabric is stiffer and because it's not super smooth, it shows through under fine silk. Julie

I was disappointed in this girdle. It was very uncomfortable because 1) it really wasn't as high waisted as I expected it to be, resulting in "bunching" between top of girdle and bottom of bra, 2) the shaping 'bones' in the girdle hit the wrong spots and was actually painful. Fr from NY, NY

I absolutely love Rago items but this runs a size small. I bought a size S/26 and it is an XS/24. The waist cinchers however which are wonderful. Almost always need to be purchased a size smaller than listed or a else they won't whittle your waist down. I think I would like this item a lot if it was the right size, and I feel the sizing should have been clarified. I had traveled out of the country before i tried it on so it was impossible to return. I purchased this with the Rago Longline Lacette bra which I needed to return because it was so small. These are also very very snug though I did keep them. The size chart says to order a Medium if you wear a 10-12 dress size; I wear a 8-10. I really think the products I have purchase so far are sized very small--never a good thing in a shaper. This is amazing. I can see why women used to wear a girdle all the time. Unbelievable smoothness under clothes. Tight but still fairly comfortable. I have already worn it under multiple dresses and got many compliments on my figure! It works great under the tightest t shirt dresses. Better than any spanx ever could. If you want to wear those super clinging fabrics this is the one for you! No line from waist to knees and the lace leg bands don"t show a line either. LOVE this! This is my first piece of shapewear, and combined with the Carnival longline bra, I don't recognize myself in the mirror! This was really hard to get on and I wasn't able to pull it all the way up in back by myself and am embarrassed to ask anyone. I read that if you put it on like stepping into a peeled banana and rolling it up and on, it is easier, so I'm going to try that. It didn't seem itchy and it didn't roll down (I've only had it on for about 15 minutes just to see how it worked under a few of my old form-fitting dresses), and it almost entirely eliminated my pesky stomach bulge and I had a waist again for the first time in years! Those dresses I tried on with this actually FIT and I did not recognize myself - between that and the longline bra, the shape I had was stunning. I looked at least 2 sizes smaller and so well-defined! Can't wait to wear it for a night out on the town. My waist was 39 and my hips were 46 when I ordered this in 3X, and it fit fine. I ordered this product because of the bumps and lumps in my tummy and abdomin area. I was hoping for a smother look when wearing dresses and I got it with this product. I was a little unsure of the size but it fits well and is comfortable to wear all day. Don't like to garters so I cut them off. I'm hoping it will keep its shape for a long time. Before ordering this item, I contacted Customer Service to get advice on sizing, as I was somewhere in between sizes on the chart. Very comfortable.... Wish it would hold my tummy in tighter! I look 8 months pregnant all the time. But at least the rolls of fat are smoother. I really prefer undergarments that have a hook'n'eye crotch. That's the only minus with this product. Barb in AK from MN- USA

Nice shaper. My waist and hip measurements are 29" and 39.5" so I was really debating between sizes, and wound up going with the Medium and the garment fits well. It doesn't take in my waist that much, but it does slim the area between my high waist and my hip bone, which is what I was looking for. It is a bit itchy, and if I don't pull it up all the way there is a little bulge at the top of the waist. I wish the garter attachment straps were removable, they really dig into my legs after a while. Overall, it's nice looking and effective, but it's not comfortable enough for me to wear everyday. I wear the girdle 10-12 hours a day and it is comfortable. Love the item, not the price. However, I will probably order this same item in the future, I really like it and am unable to find this in the store or other catalogs. I did not rate it five stars only because of the price. K from Ohio
