I ordered based on my waist measurements, so I went smaller than my hips measurement - all based on the size guide. Well it finally came and I tried it on and it did nothing for me. I could have gone 2 sizes down to get a real good squeeze! But to be honest I returned it because it isn't the style I thought it would be. I'm looking more for a waist cincher/girdle type and this just smoothes out what you already have.

This garment sucks me in in all the right places. I am a size 12-14 and the 2X fits me perfectly. Not sure why sizing is not accurate with Rago shapewear, but I am very happy with what this product does for my shape. Sara from Phoenix AZ

This is a wonderful garment. It does exactly what its supposed to do. I holds me in and it doesn't roll down at all, so it's just perfact. I wear it all the time. (Well, not to my Pilates class, but you know what I mean.) I intend to order more when these wear out. HerRoom lists this as firm control and style 6109 is recommended for more control "extra firm", but I think maybe HerRoom has this backward. The Rago site says this one is "extra firm" and the 6109 is just "firm". But it doesn't matter what its listed as, I think its just perfect. Heather from Chigago, Illinois

I talked with customer service about the purchase of this or a similar item & of course it had to be Rago. I was told this style was a very popular one and now I know why. I love Rago!!! I grew up with whale bone garments with extreme hold. I have looked for this type of hold for a long time. I have finally found it in Rago (not the whale bone, but the hold). HerRoom added a wonderful lavender tissue wrap that brought me back to the time of true customer service. I ordered four Rago garments and will definitely order from HerRoom again! My main purpose for this purchase was my "pooch" you know the tummy that looks 3 months pregnant despite all the ab workouts you do? Well, this fixes that better than any Spanx I have tried! The only downside I suppose would be where it ends at the thighs- kind of squeezes them too tight, making them look a little less flattering. There's nothing like a Rago girdle, period. I've been wearing them since the 1980's, even when I didn't really need a girdle, because they hold you all together no matter what you are wearing. This high waist brief does not ride up or creep, stays put and hugs the bottom snugly. The boning in the waist holds you in, yet lets you move around and breathe. I don't waste my time and money with other shapewear, no matter how trendy. I wear what works, and, what lasts through repeated wearings and washings, and that is the Rago label. If you want to look good, firm and together in a dress or pants, this is the label to go with. Rago doesn't make empty promises, they deliver. My wife bought the Rago high waist thong and she looks amazingly sexy in it. So much so, that I submitted a 5 star review for that product and ordered this product as a surprise gift for her. I was never a fan of shapewear or panty girdles before, but Oh My God, my wife looks amazing in these garments. It definitely smoothes her out and gives her curves where she had little before. She is rather thin but has a very small, slight belly to her. She also has a rather large latin bottom. When we received this product, I gave it to her and she was a little surprised. I asked her to "model" it for me and my conclusion is that it is not only very functional (i.e., enhances her already beautiful shape) but is actually sexy to see her wearing. She told me it was very comfortable to wear and she particularly liked the detachable garters. She wears stockings and thigh highs often and the garters hold them firmly in place. I got a 3x, and I normally wear an XL shirt, 16 pants in other brands, to help with sizing. It is probably the most comfortable girdle out there, which sounds like an oxymoron. They are actually flattering and kinda sexy, too, which makes them a great deal for being so all-purpose. Randi from GA

I'm using this girdle for a 1950's play on a 5'9" actress, Chest 38, waist 27, Hip 43. She's full in the hips and thighs and the leg opening cuts in quite tight creating a bulge on her upper thighs. Otherwise its a nice smooth line up to her underbust Jessica from Natchitoches, LA

I purchased this item to do a bit of research as far as fit and movement in a girdle. I'm costume designing a show in which the ladies are doing a lot of dancing and I wanted to ensure that this was a viable option before purchasing them for the cast. Can I say, I absolutely love the fit of this item. And have since worn it for more than just research. It allows my clothing to lie more smoothly over my body. The only concern is if I am wearing an item that is really clingy in the hips, just like seeing a side panty line, depending on the fabric, a little bump can be seen in the side hip- shape-wear shorts are better to combat that type of outfit! I love this panty girdle! I have several Rago girdles, mostly the open bottom ones and was reluctant to try a panty one. I was afraid it might squeeze at the leg. It did not! I bought this to wear under my wedding dress and it is perfect. It smoothes everything out and holds it all in and is very comfortable. The service was great. Got my girdle within days of ordering.
