Runs true to size - very comfortable. I tried a 40D but the band was really really tight and I also thought that I might want a little more coverage too, so I exchanged it for a 42D (42E UK). The 42D ended up being a little more bra than I'd prefer and I've got the hooks all the way to the tightest row. If I were to buy this again, I'd stick with the 40D because it looks like the band will stretch out just enough after a wearing or two and I won't feel so imprisoned with over-coverage.

Prima Donna Response: I think you had the correct fit first time around. The “tighter” fit is probably the better fit for you...if you had to use the last hooks on the 2nd bra it would not be the correct fit. The back-band will start riding up the back and the front will start to sag- and void all support. The band most definitely relaxes with a wear or two. M from usa

the 42 E I received is a UK size. My US size is 40D. This bra is super comfortable and supportive. Creates a very nice youthful shape. Band rolls, but what are you going to do? While everything fits well, I've got it hooked all the way over to the third set of hooks (tightest). So I think shoppers should order a size down on the band. The cups are very full, so if you're between a D and DD, go with the D. IF you're a true D, you might be more comfortable in this bra's C cup. As nice as this bra is, it's not worth the high cost - but I'll keep it because I'm too lazy to return it. v from USA

This is a gorgeous bra that you can wear for every day. It gives a rounded shape and can be worn under a t-shirt, although I wouldn't call it a t-shirt bra as it is not totally smooth. The workmanship is first rate. With proper care, my other Prima Donna bras have lasted for several years. Kate from Tucson

5 stars overall. Great support/shaping/coverage, great comfort. But you might want to consider ordering a cup size up and a band size up. Really excellent for the short-waisted who have ample breast tissue - covers well but not so high under the arms that it would otherwise poke into your pit. I have to reorder from a 40D to a 42DD. The list doesn't offer a 42DD - the list says a 42E would be the same as a 42DD. So we'll see what happens. v
