Passionata by Chantelle

Passionata encompasses its name. Full of passion, the collection enhances women's sexual desires and ignites their love for life. Outbursts of color, delicate designs and geometric motifs make up the Passionata collection. Fine lace and embroidery embellishes Passionata bra and panty styles. Igniting passion might seem a slow process when it comes to product innovation, but designers at Passionata follow a distinct pattern to create a perfect piece of lingerie for those that wear it. They want women to slip on a piece in their collection and amplify their natural sexiness.

The founding company Chantelle was started in 1876 by Messieurs, Gamichon and Kretz in Paris, France. Chantelle helped revolutionize the lingerie industry by producing corsets using elasticized fabrics which were basically unheard of at that time. In the 1950s Chantelle created the girdle that did not move throughout the day. Women were able to wear it without worry it would “creep.” The garments are now manufactured in facilities across Europe, North Africa and Eastern Asia. The Chantelle Group has three main brand names: Chantelle, Passionata and Darjeeling. The Passionata brand was created in the 1980s and is now distributed to 18 countries. In 2012 the brand made the announcement they would be expanding to Australia as well.

Designers work as a team to create each piece in the Passionata collection. As soon as they begin to sketch a new design a pattern is then produced in a sample size. After it is tested for wear, it is then perfected with certain alterations to better contour to the body, giving the best support possible. This is repeated until the garment seems perfect for women wanting that style and luxury. Once the size is finalized the fitter will then begin working on all additional cup and back sizes of the bra. The last part of the process involves the sewing team assembling the pattern in order to produce the perfect fit, making sure to add the final touches of bows, ribbons and lace. Bras in the Passionata brand go up to 40C (varying by style), while selected bralettes are sized from S-XL and panties from XS to XL.

Model Bar Refaeli posed for Passionata in 2011 helping women to realize how sexy this lingerie can be. Not every woman can look like Bar Refaeli, but they can feel just as sexy. Revlon model Isabeli Fontana is also featured in ad campaigns for Passionata. Photographer and Director David LaChapelle helped revamp the brand in 2008 and targeted it towards a younger market by showcasing a high profile launch at the Crazy Horse Club in Paris. The showcase helped launch new products in the collection featuring femininity, passion, love and danger the playfulness of burlesque dancing.

Passionata contributes to women's wellbeing by being an official partner of La Flamme Marie Claire. The Marie Claire Rose action contributes to girls' education on their way to freedom in Cambodia, Senegal, Benin and France. In 2010 the operation grew into La Flamme Marie Claire.

Passionata emphasizes the sensual curves of a woman, igniting the passion of those around her. The tiny pink heart logo is a staple on each of their exquisite pieces in the collection. A woman wearing a Passionata bra and panties is dressed for passion with beauty to help her conquer the day.
