This material doesn't have the "silky" feel I expect from Mary Green. Also after only one washing a run appeared near the waistband. I'm disappointed.

Mary Green Response:The fabric has not changed on the silk knit LL3 since Mary Green has been making this group. Also, silk knit will have a tendency to run if it is not cared for properly or it could be where it was sewn caused a run to occur. Also, not sure how the garment was washed. When I first took these out of the package and looked at them, the word that came to mind was "knickers". No, I'm not British, but they look like what I always pictured knickers to be. I really like these panties, and I highly recommend them to anyone. I agree that they are very comfortable and easy to wear. The only things I don't like is that they don't have a cotton crotch, which I really think is important, and the fact that they're a bit difficult to clean. I hand washed mine in cold water in the sink, which is what is recommended, aside from dry cleaning. I can't imagine walking into my dry cleaners with several pairs of dirty panties! These are soft, pretty, comfortable, and very flattering, but I was disappointed about the quality of the fabric. The first pair I ordered had a snag in the front when I opened the package. I returned it for another pair, which developed several snags and a run before I could wear them for the first time, even with careful handling. The problems are not too visible, however, and I will certainly keep wearing them as long as they hold up, but I doubt that will be very long. Not all Mary Green panties are this delicate and prone to imperfections, and I won't be buying any "silk knit" items in the future unless they're far less expensive. Molly
