I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this thing!!! I had looked at several other brands and even tried them on... this one is by far the most comfortable! It does help if you order the correct size for where you are as opposed to where you want to be, and remembering to step into it is a must. I would tell anyone who wants that extra support without a lot of bulk, to get this. I ordered 2... I am going to back and order more. Seriously, give this a try. Paula from Buffalo

This item would be perfect if the back weren't quite so high. It shows slightly with most of my tops. Otherwise it is comfortable and does it's job. Jungle Jane

You've got to be kidding !! This thing did nothing. Yes, I'm over weight, but it didn't even help one bit..hard to get on by yourself, too. Going into mail TODAY!!

Maidenform Response: This is firm control. Compression can’t be any stronger in this type of garment or you would be very uncomfortable. Perhaps you need the next size up. juzme from ca

Had something similar to this years ago, wore them out and been looking for a replacement since. Thank you Maidenform, this one is longer than the ones I had before so it stays down better. Going back for the black one next. Char from Tulsa OK

Totally love this garment, it is very comfortable, no seams and does exactly what it is suppose to do. I especially love that you can wear your own bra with it. Lori from Vancouver, WA

Very comfortable, except for straps underarm, and just the right amount of control for back fat. However, the third time worn, it rolled up to the waist in a nasty roll and continued to do so. Wonderful idea for petite woman with very large bust, but not quite there.

Maidenform Response: This is the wrong garment for your petite figure type. Carol from Monticello, IN

I loved this item and would rate it far more highly, but will be returning it as well. I wore it twice and the seam under one arm frayed out! On the off chance that Her Room might send it back to the manufacturer as defective (I would be happy to take another in exchange) I would still recommend this for comfort and control - and it "breathes" well also!

Maidenform Response: This garment is made on a santoni machine and is knitted. How it was washed could be an issue Kit from Potomac Falls, VA USA

This item didn't do anything for me. I liked the way it helped hold my breasts up. My stomach is slightly rounded and it just didn't do anything to change my shape. JenniferM from OH, USA

The undergarment is slimming but I was disappointed in the discomfort of the underarm area. Sheila from Califormia

Well, it did its job - once I got it on! I had a very difficult time getting in over my head and down my torso - it kept rolling up under my armpits and getting hung - kinda hard to pull it down with my arms tied in the air. Fortunately, my hubby was within yelling distance and he managed to tug it down over my body (after he quit laughing). It's surprisingly comfortable, tho, and doesn't roll up . I'm short and it covers more of my body than the picture shows so does a good job of controlling. I think one size larger would have been a better fit - but 2x is the largest you make...have to wonder why that is since most of us who need such a garment are not little. Virginia from BonhamTX

This garment makes me feel good. I think it is the compression in the back that gently reminds me to stand straight, shoulders back -- to stand tall and proud!! Dawn from Missouri

This item is great, very easy to put on and very comfortable. Does not role up. I recommend this product to anybody, it made me look a few sizes thinner and after a while I forgot I even had it on. Love it!!! I even bought one for my mom. arleen from north hollywood CA US

The Maidenform Slimming Top does just what it states...it smooths all the flaws that you want to disguise...it is not binding or uncomfortable...I forget I'm wearing it...it does not hold moisture or heat...so it's great to wear at all times...I wish there was a strapless version...Very pleased with my purchase!! I just wore this shaper yesterday, all day, and it was quite comfortable and really got the job done! In fact, with the Back Slimming Top, I was able to wear a sweater two sizes smaller than my usual size! I was at the beauty shop, and someone approached me to ask me what I was wearing and where I got it, so I know it's doing what it claims, and it feels SO good to have that pulled together, neat appearance! LOVE IT!!! jazzy1Luv from Chambersburg, PA

This was an okay shaper. I like that it doesn't smoosh the girls down. However, it's got a ton of spandex, so it was a little difficult to put on. I actually found it easier to step into and pull up than to pull down over my head and chest. The straps go around the chest and can rub the arm pit / front of the shoulder a little. I've found that the strap position depends on which bra I wear with it. Still, when I really need a holding it, it does the job.

Maidenform Response: This is a firm control garment with varying degree of control. You could need a larger size. J from Nashville, TN

I don't know if its shapers altogether or just the few I've tried but this thing makes me look pregnant, it does smooth and make my stomach look a little smaller too. But I bought it for the back support b/c i have been having a lot of back pain and it feels great for that like I'm leaning back on a nice firm pillow, while I'm washing the dishes Angela from New York

I love this shaper. I had weight loss surgery 18 months ago and have loose skin that looks like extra weight. This shaper offers light support and basically, it holds everything in. It's comfortable enough to wear all day and makes my tummy look smooth and flat. I really love that there are no zippers, eye hooks, seems or ribbing. No one can tell that I'm wearing shapewear. I'm 5'10" and it goes all the way down to the bottom of my hips and doesn't roll up when I'm wearing pants. Heath from CA/USA

This does exactly what I expected it to do! It fits comfy and smooths my back perfectly so those snug-fitting shirts look sleek. I love that I can wear my own bra - it actually gives a little extra lift and support there, too. Getting in and out of it takes a little wiggling, but once it's on, it feels good. I am warm natured, and it didn't make me feel any warmer at all. I plan to buy another one so I always have a clean one ready. Sherri from Richmond VA

I definitely like this top. It is not "SUPER SLIMMING" but it definitely holds me in in the critical belly area. It's probably as slimming as it can be without being uncomfortable, though. I have worn it all day at work with no complaints. The only thing is that the straps do rub a tiny bit under the front of the arms due to the cut (a general complaint that I have about this type of wear-your-own-bra slimmer) but it's not as bad as others I've tried. I'm 5'4", a 36DD or 38D and a size 8 in pants and the medium was the right size for me. Also, I imagine it's quite warm in the summertime -- but right now it's chilly so the warmth is a good thing. I like this Cami and it does a fair job of holding in unsightly bra bulges. My only complaint is that the straps do cut into the the front of the arms. As for the length, it's great even for tall ladies like myself. KatFox from Hesperia, Ca.

I love the fact that this camisole is designed so it does not flatten my bust. Unfortunately, it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The control across the back is so strong it pulls the front of the armhole back, causing the camisole to dig in around the arm. It's really too bad - I like the style of the camisole and it fits perfectly everywhere else. But this problem makes it more or less unwearable. I'm hoping I can alter it so that it may be worn comfortably.

This shaper gives good control for love handles and back fat, is easy to get on and off and I really like the way it smooths the back...no hardware on the straps to show through. The downside is that the straps cut a bit at the front of the arms, but not bad and it's happened with every other shaper of this sort I've tried. The good thing is the way the front comes just below the breasts rather than cutting across them. With this one, there are no show-through ridges anywhere, and no worry about how to handle going to the bathroom since it ends at the waist....and stays there. No riding up. I'm quite pleased. I have a large bust and smaller mid-section. The medium fit me fine. Lee from Irwinton, GA

Just what I needed with those "spandex added" shirts since none of the others come with an "I" cup. The only reason I have given it a 4 star is there's always room for improvement. Carol from Cincinnati, OH, USA

This cincher is great! The only problem, thus 4 stars instead of 5) is that the straps cut into my generous flesh at the front arm area. I can't believe how easy it is to step into this garment. So easy, I was able to buy a L. Thinking it would be a tight squeeze, I started by trying on the 2X and worked my way down to the L . Surprise and happiness. It fits so well and really pulls me in like no other. And I have tried many including the ones seen on TV where I have always had to size up due to the difficulty of climbing into it. This is great. You won't be disappointed. I wish they would now make one with a lower back, more of a mid-body cincher. There is no fat problem above my back bra closure. Threebead from New York, NY

The material is VERY comfortable. It is long enough and does not roll up. It did such a good job, it made my pants too loose and I had to pin them! I like how it doesn't go over the bra area. The only problem I had was the straps rubbed a little near my underarm. Bbll from Northern California USA

The garment has a very light control so I suggest going one size done if you want more control. I'm a large so I went for a medium. I like it since I'm able to wear my own bra. The control for back fat is very minimal however it's nice control for the front mid-section. THEY REALLY NEED TO MAKE THIS IS AN ADJUSTABLE STRAP CAUSE THE STRAPS CAN DIG IN. PLUS IT MAKE ME SWEAT LIKE CRAZY. jenny from new jersey

I have mixed feelings about this garment so I will simply list the pro/cons about it. PROS Runs true to size has good lenght (it reaches about mid hip) One can wear own bra Cons Control is NOT firm it can be light moderate to moderate depending on the size (i'm a size L but I liked the M better since it gave more control the usually size large was too light in control Also the straps do not adjust (can dig into arms and shoulders) The Back slimming is not strong enough (if you take a look at the picture the back X design it has is above the bra line....how many women have fat on that section, most back fat begins at the bra line and below) also the material is nice to wear ONLy in a cool setting like an air condition office with minimal movement. I wore this out to walk my dog in 75 degree weather my back was soaked in sweat (must be the nylon material) Overall this is a nice IDEA but there is defiantly room for improvement....Such as adjustable straps and stronger back control. sandy from chicago il
