Band size seems to run small? I actually measure a 30, but buy 32 sizes. With this bra, the wires dig into my rib cage. I have to have perfect posture or else the bra punishes me! Otherwise, it does provide great lift and shape. Great under T-shirts- no nipple show through. I like that the straps are wide apart on the shoulders (good for boat neck shirts). Cup is true to size. I am going to return this bra. I liked the look, especially the smoothness, but I didn't like the straps. On me they settled away from my body rather than laying against my skin -- and I'm not hollow chested or anything. Also, they are somewhat bulky. Carolyn from

This is not the fit for me. I was excited to see pretty bras in my size. It looked great when I first put it on. After a few shifts and bounces of every day work, my breast worked their way upward and inward. My cups runneth over in an unattractive and jiggly way. I looked like I had four breasts instead of two. I am considering returning them. It is a shame to spend so much money to to look so terrible.

This bra runs very small in the cup. I like the shape. I hate, absolutely hate, the straps that come off when I am moving the front of the bra to the front of me after I've hooked it. I know that it's better to hook a bra from my back, but can't manage it with the size of my breasts. The 2 bras of this brand/style have been banished to the back on my bra drawer. Expensive mistake. I ordered this bra for the straps that cross in the back since I have trouble with straps showing when I wear tanks or sleeveless tops. It was good for keeping the straps under my clothes, it was just the right size, and it's a very pretty bra. Great support and comfortable fit. Just wish the hooks that connect the straps to the bra could fit tighter so that they didn't come loose when you put the bra off. Also, as this is my 5th, Le Mystere bra, I wish the wires didn't work out of the bra after one year. I wash them weekly in the delicate cycle of a front loading washing machine and air dry, but sooner or later the wires start to poke out and I have to replace the bra which is in other wise perfect condition.

HerRoom Response: There are generally 2 reasons why an underwire would eventually come out. The first would be that your band size is too large - the rubbing on your body will thus wear down the casing and cause the wire to eventually pop out. The second is that the casing shrunk (washed in too hot of water) and the wire pokes out. Dena from Indpls, IN

I was between a 42 and 44 so this bra just did not fit. I have other Le Mystere bras and you have to go up a band size but it did not work for this one. Also I found that the convertible strap in back came undone with very little effort. Julia from Seattle, WA, USA

I have to say that this is not the most comfortable bra that I have worn. It is certainly the most expensive. I measured myself at least 3 times but I guess I still did not get the correct size because the band rolls,I hang out of the bottom some unless I push myself up well. I suppose I should have purchased the one for fuller figures but I don't like a bra that comes up too high and that one looked like it would come up high and be uncomfortable. The straps don't stay up. I will wear it because I don't want to just toss it in a drawer but I don't think I would ever purchase another one. Your website is great but I am so hard to fit in a bra and I hate to shop for one because I can never find one that truly wears well. No bra is comfortable.

HerRoom Response: It sounds like your band is too large. We suggest you go up a band size. If your cups fit fine in the C, you need to go down to a B cup on a 46 band to maintain the same cup volume.

I am a 34DD -- the fit tips say to go up a size so I ordered 36E and I was swimming in it. I'll try my regular size because it looks like it will be a good bra.

HerRoom Response: The increase size recommendation was to go up a band size but keep your cup size or a 36DD -not a 36E. However, our increase recommendation is only because American women tend to complain that the band feels tight. Purchasing this bra in your regular size is the actual fit Le Mystere intended.

Really supportive and pretty bra! I probably should have purchased one band size up as recommended (band is fairly tight and cups seem shallow). The shaping is effective and smooth under fine knits, and I *love* how the straps can be moved inwards at the back. However, this is one of those bras (in this size, anyway) where the deepest part of the cup is toward the outer side instead of to the front - looks a bit boxy or "wall-eyed" from the wearer's view. I just received my second bra, having had the first (white )for a couple of months. The new one is black. The size I am using is a larger cup than I have previously used, but fits very nicely. I feel like is has a very good shape, no seems to show, and I especially love the attractive straps, when worn with the thin strapped tops. If the straps show, no problem, they're lovely. The new bra is a bit hard to hook up, but I think that's because it is new. I also, have sloping shoulders, and the fact that the straps can be changed is great. After trying (and LOVING!) the Dream Tisha 9955 in a 38D, I decided to try the Carina in the same size. It was a pretty bra, but the cups seemed to run small. Also, it was kind of a pain to put on and adjust the straps for the x-back. It didn't have the side stays that the Dream Tisha did, and didn't hold me in as well on the sides. In nine months, my boobs have not shrunk to what I considered "normal" after my second pregnancy and I am having a terrible time finding bras that fit well. Thank goodness for the Dream Tisha!!! I agree that this bra isn't the best choice for those 40D and above. I ordered it and the Dream Tisha 9955. The Carina didn't provide enough support. I don't agree that size D or above should go up a band size. I measure at exactly 42. Had I gone up a band size, the band would've been too large. The band is snug, but certainly not uncomfortable.
