While this bra is well made, it is not the best bra for larger busted women in my opinion. I've been wearing it for a month and the straps don't offer much support, the cups don't lift much at all, making me feel un-supported and heavy. The cotton cups are much to stretchy and cause you to "fall" in them. You'd think since they make this bra in larger cup sizes, it would support better, but it just doesn't. I wish I could return it, but can't since I've worn it already :( It's hard to tell if a bra is going to fit well with just trying it on, it needs to be worn and moved around in a bit to me to feel if it's going to be the right bra.

Part of the allure of this bra is the soft, stretchy cup which is extremely supportive for full busted women as well. However, keep in mind that when purchasing a nursing bra, you should still keep all of the normal bra fitting rules in play: nice firm band for most of the support and a strap that doesn't need to be pulled too tight because you are anchored and secured at the band. Also, as with any bra, it is extremely important to give it a chance to rest. Even if not washing after every wear, you must give the bra a day or two between each wear so that the elastic fibers have a chance to rest and recover. And of course, no dryer ever.

Perhaps you would find our Sexy Mama 163 nursing bra will make you feel more secure. It has a contoured cup with a nice, wide band for superior lift. The lace lays flat giving a smooth look even under thin knits. We do hope that you will give us another try. Lindsey from Alabama

Strange clasps for a nursing bra and don't really need the padding at this size.

I love love LOVE this bra. I finally found a nursing bra with excellent support and lift. The only reason it didn't merit five stars was because part of the bra that supports the underside of the breast gets in the way while nursing. It can be pushed aside, but it's a little thick. Bra is comfortable and the nude color is great. There is a visible seam across the breast that shows through knit shirts, but with limited underwire nursing bra options, I'm not as picky about that as I used to be. Mel from South Florida

This bra is not very comfortable. Cup lining stops short of nipple, so there is no coverage and cup itself is too low. I would have thought Le Mystere would have a better quality nursing bra. Additionally, despite having 6 rows of hooks, the second time I wore it I was already on the smallest adjustment...I wear a 32. I only wear this bra when I am at the end of my wash cycle and need to get, by until all my other bras are

I usually buy Le Mystere because of the brand's superior support. I had anticipated something even better given that this was a nursing bra. Unfortunately, the cups cut too low to make me feel kept in place. I also didn't like that the interior lining was somewhat padded so that with nursing pads in place I was really bulked up. Finally, I just didn't care for the cotton fabric. Brand new it seemed too stiff and I would anticipate that upon washing it would be too loose.

We understand that this bra may not have given you as much coverage as you may have liked, however, it was designed as such. Florence was designed to give nursing and pregnant moms functional support, without having to be completely covered. That being said, instead of just containing the breast tissue, this bra does accentuate the beautiful bust line of mothers. When worn with a thin nursing pad, the lined cup also serves as additional leakage protection. Washing would also soften the fabrication slightly for comfort without making it too loose. We do hope that you will give Florence another try. Perhaps if you find that it isn't enough coverage for day to day, you might consider utilizing it when out on the town and you won't have to compromise functionality. Good luck! It's so nice to have a cotton bra with underwire. With all the other discomforts during pregnancy & nursing, I like that this bra doesn't irritate my sensitive nipples, which most of my synthetic bras do. This is a really nice bra. I've had such good luck with Le Mystere in the past that I *almost* feel I can buy without worrying it won't work (there have been a few missteps in the past, but thank goodness for this site and the reviews here!). So when it came time to get a bra for nursing our first child, I knew to look here first! This bra is pretty, first of all. It's mainly cotton and lace so it's not shiny or meant to be super sexy but it's pretty enough that it is pretty sexy. I like the round shape it gives, and I like how it looks. The way it hooks is a bit counter-intuitive to me, but I am hoping that with time I will be able to do and undo this extremely easily. I don't forsee this being a problem. Because of the reviews here, I purchased a cup size smaller than what I would have otherwise purchased, and I think the fit is perfect. When I first received this bra I was very excited that this bra had feminine details with the lace and didn't come up to my neck like many bras in this size. The clips are very easy to use and can definitely be used with one hand. The material is soft and comfortable in the cups and the additional fabric inside the cup provides great support and hides nursing pads well. I really like this bra. I can use cotton nursing pads with it and they don't show through. Its fairly supportive and has a few feminine details that make it pretty. The clasp is not the regular clasp, and so far I still need both hands and eyes to close it after nursing. Some reviewers commented on the little piece of fabric you have to fold down to nurse - it's really not a big deal and I feel like that piece of fabric helps with support. B from NC

This is an excellent nursing bra, very supportive, with wide underwires that don't (if fit properly) press on milk ducts. It's VERY supportive, in fact the most supportive nursing bra I've found for larger cup sizes, and the straps are wide apart with a low front, so it fits under some tops that are more low cut or with a different neckline, like square. I was put off at first by the double-layer design. There's a very soft cup that folds down when you undo the clasp, and then beneath that is a supportive molded demi-cup that has to be folded out of the way also. I thought it would be unwieldy but it's actually very easy to use. The cup does have a strong diagonal seam that shows through very thin tops, but I've found it diminishes as it's washed, and I love the bra so much that I don't care. The only complaint I have is that the clasp is very difficult to fasten (but super easy to un-fasten, which is sometimes much more important!). I can occasionally manage it one-handed, but usually it takes two, which is fine because my baby is older, but I can imagine that this bra might be daunting with a newborn. Jen from Virginia

This is a very pretty nursing bra - FINALLY, I feel like a real woman again! I like the color and the shape of the bra and the lace is very feminine and flattering to my shape. The clasp is very easy to use (I can easily manage it one handed). The cotton is comfortable as well. The only things I don't love about it are that the seam on the cup is visible under clothing (polo shirt) and the lining under the cup gets stretched out when you pull it down a bit, so there is some puckering when you put it back in place. I really liked this bra. My only complaints are about sizing. Honestly I think the sizing of this bra is more true-to-size than most nursing bras, but I'm so used to the nursing bra bands being larger than with non-nursing bras. With this bra, if you're normally a 34 band in Bravado or Anita, I'd order a 36 in this one. Also, the cup size seemed to run a little large, but again that's based on the sizing of other popular brands. I think that if you take accurate measurements of yourself and order based on those measurements, you'll probably get a great fit. I didn't have any issue with too much breast tissue sticking out of the top of this bra like some reviewers. Maybe they got a cup size too small. The bra looks very nice and is soft and comfortable. fits nice, but you need both hands available to reattach bra front after nursing, major inconvenience. don't think designers of this bra tested the product or are people who have nursed an infant.

This bra is amazing! I have really been struggling to find a bra that I still feel sexy in at this size. It is not your grandma's bra!! It's great because even though it is a nursing bra it doesn't have to be...it's a great bra period. I really liked the fit and support of this nursing bra. What I did not like was that my nursing pads showed through (two big circles showing through my shirt) and the fabric that covered the nipple was in the way for nursing my baby. Sent back.

We understand your issue with the placement of the fabric near the nipple, however, in a soft cotton blend such as this, it needs to be constructed in such a way as to make sure that the fabric layers are smooth and even. To cut away more fabric from this area may compromise the overall look and comfort of the bra. This may also be relative to the issue of your nursing pads showing. In working with the bra, we have found customers who use a thin nursing pad do have the best success and also, it you are experiencing bulk that shows through, you may just have to shy away from sheer and clingy knits when wearing this bra. It is not a substitute for a t-shirt bra. We do hope that you might give this bra another shot since you found it was a great fit and did in fact meet your support needs. Thanks again! I love this bra! I am 7 months pregnant and needless to say my boobs have NEVER been this big, so I was nervous about having to special order a bra. This is by far the cutest nursing/maternity bra I have seen. It fits perfectly and is still sexy. The only thing I would change about the bra is the inside liner does cover the nipple, so I feel it's not going to make it the easiest when nursing... kind of defeating the purpose. Also many of the other reviews complained about the lace ripping, well guess what lace is fragile. Don't pull the bra up by the lace and you'll be fine. Love the bra. I bought it a bit bigger for when the milk comes in, so I have to adjust the liner part a bit so its not lumpy. Very comfortable, easy clips and closures.
