Lanz of Salzburg
Read more about Lanz of Salzburg.
Lanz of Salzburg is, despite its name, a classic American sleepwear brand. It has been beloved by generations of women and children who appreciate the traditional patterns, classic styling and high-quality fabrics, including their best-known, flannel. Although Lanz has been owned by Eileen West since 1996, the brand has maintained its tradition of warmth, comfort and classic design.
Lanz nightgowns and pajama sets are fabricated from soft and cozy fabrics such as 100% cotton flannel, pima cotton jersey, cotton lawn and seersucker. Their winter gowns and pajamas are flannel that is brushed for softness against the skin. Night gowns are offered in traditional Lanz patterns, including their iconic Tyrolean stripe, tartan plaids and dainty florals. Women love the thoughtful features like tucked yokes with functional buttons--perfect when the temperature fluctuates a bit. Other popular features include the elasticized cuff meant to keep out the winter cold and gentle gathers for a flattering and still comfortable fit.
Equally popular are Lanz of Salzburg's pajamas and gowns for children, toddlers and infants. Little girls in lace-trimmed flannel gowns, boys in their plaid pajamas, babies in Lanz footies and mothers in their matching gowns and robes make up many a family Christmas tableau.
The original Lanz company is still based in Austria and is known in that country for their traditional folk clothing, like those made famous in The Sound of Music. But the name, Lanz of Salzburg, belongs solely to the American sleepwear brand that has kept Americans comfy and warm for generations.
