Hi-cut panties offer the best of both worlds--a flattering style and the slimming benefits of shapewear. Typically, high cut panties have leg openings above the top of the thigh, creating the look of a long, lean leg. Sometimes, the sides are narrow as well. But with the full rear and tummy coverage, hi-cut panties can be constructed with the a panel to add targeted control to the midriff. Some high cut control panties will also have strategic seaming to lift and shape the rear.
Hi-cut shapewear panties are usually made of a four-way stretch fabric and will often have a 2- or 4-ply panel to additionally smooth the stomach. Modern stretch fabrics allow for all-around control, including hips and rear. If control hi-cuts are also high-waisted, they will provide additional control to smooth hips and love handles. |
