I needed a 100% cotton bra without any hardware because that is what the surgeon stipulated for my 17-year-old daughter, who did not want to go into surgery without undergarments. I did not expect it to be so difficult to find a cotton bra with no manmade fibers like lycra, so was delighted when I finally found the Hanro Simply Cotton bra on the HerRoom website. There's no denying its comfort, but the bra is so thin and shear, I ended up tie dying it in a dark color so my modest daughter would feel adequately covered. Note also that the straps are unusually long. Since they are not adjustable and because we didn't have time to alter them, we tied knots in the straps to shorten them. Essentially, for us, this bra was for a one-time, special use. Otherwise, it's too thin and shear for everyday use. On the plus side, it does have good workmanship, and the cotton is very soft. This bra is made of the softest fabric, and would be a treat......if it fit! I have been wearing a 42-C bra, but the "staves" are killing me; so, I tried this little bra.It is way to little. So disappointed. Wanda from Houston, Texas

I love Hanro bras but this is not one that I recommend. The band around the torso (just a 1/4 inch wide elastic) is the tightest part of the bra which makes it very uncomfortable. I do not recommend buying it. I didn't know how uncomfortable it was until it was mine! Too expensive for a cheap-fitting bra. DH from Colorado Springs, CO

Although this was a beautifully made bra, it just simply didn't fit. I ordered the medium because I have a C cup, but the bottom elastic was way too big. If the elastic was 1" shorter then I think it would have worked. Considered taking it to the tailor, but then realized that due to its high cotton content the whole bra was probably going to stretch out on me anyway during the course of the day. I ended up with a Grenier bra instead that works really well.

I was disappointed in these bras. They are way over priced for what they are. They did not keep their shape when hand washed and line dried. I was (and am still) looking for light weight summer bras with some support to wear under tshirts. Marilyn from Iowa

This summer it has been mostly in the 90s, and I wanted a bra with no underwire and mostly cotton. This bra is a dream. I forget I am wearing it. Truly the most comfortable bra ever. As a C to D cup, I like to have a comfy, light support layer under shelf-bra camisoles. This was too large for my 34C/D cup. The fabric seemed coarser than I would have liked, but probably washes well. Karen

I love and have worn this bra for the past year, however, the last bras I received in L were truly enormous! I have sent them back in the hope that you can investigate the anomaly - I can only think the manufacturer has changed the sizing....... I am looking forward to you expediting the matter.

I love this bra. I love that there are no clasps, hooks, underwires, or adjusting straps. Exactly what I wanted. The material is very light and it feels as though you aren't even wearing a bra, which is what I like. I think this is an excellent bra for someone with a small cup size. For larger cup sized women, this bra probably wouldn't give the necessary support. I am someone who wears an extra small in about 99% of my clothing and this extra small was a little big. I really liked the bra this one replaces because it gave much better support. It was exactly right for me and I still have three of them but despair of wearing them out. That previous bra had a firmer base, with elastic under the cotton--just the right combination of support and with a soft cup. This one with only the elastic at the bottom is much floppier. This bra is extremely comfortable. Usually wear a 32C and the XS fits perfectly---small was too big in both the cup and the band. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for light support and comfort, including post mastectomy/ reconstruction and/ or during radiation. Rachel from Pittsburgh, PA

The bra is extremely soft. It was however too big (usually 32C). I returned it and, unfortunately, it appears the return was never received so I am unable to evaluate the XS, although I suspect that it would have fit well.

Excellent item. Very comfortable and attractive -- perfect for those of us who have had breast cancer surgery. One suggestion though, the manufacturer should get rid of the scratchy tags.
