Grenier Serenade No Wire Lace Bra 8579 Reviews

This is a beautiful bra, but very itchy. I had read the reviews and noticed that one other reviewer noted that it was itchy but that after washing the itch went away. I've now washed ths bra 3 different tmes and it is still very itchy. That said, it is a beautiful bra and I will keep it for dress up occasions -- it is not an everyday bra because of the discomfort of being so itchy. I might take the bra to a seamstress and see if she can add something comfortable between the bra and my skin -- but the bra is fairly expensive and this would be a cost on top of an expense already. Another reviewer noted that if you are a full breasted person, you will bounce up and down in this bra. This is true. Even still, the bra is so beautiful and the fit so pretty, that I'm still giving it 4 stars. Kay from CT

I purchased this due to the other positive reviews. I am not disappointed at all! This bra is true to size and fits like an underwire, only with comfort and no underwire! It is not industrial strength supportive, but then do you want your lacy bra to be industrial? It offers real good support due to the interior construction and is very comfortable after laundering. When it first arrived I of course wanted to try it on for size and it did itch horribly and I thought I would not be keeping it. However I laundered it, hung it up to dry and the itch is gone completely, so must have just been the sizing in the fabric, thankfully, as I do love this bra. It is supportive, pretty, comfortable and gives me a nice rounded shape. Completely satisfied. It also arrived exactly on schedule and was packaged very lovely. Bobbi from Milpitas, California

This bra fit just as I'd hoped. It was nice to find a lacy bra for a full figure that did not have any sort of underwire. It is comfortable for the most part, although it has a rigid piece on each side that can become a little uncomfortable after extended wear. I gather it's there to prevent a 'fat roll', so I can live with that (or lose weight). Didn't really notice until the end of the day anyway. It gave very adequate support for daily wear, and even a bit of cleavage. Just picking nits, but there is a tiny sparkly decoration sewn into the middle between the cups that I could have done without, and I will probably remove it It's about $20 more than I would care to spend on a bra, but worth it. I bought the 'nude' color and will be getting it in black as well. EmGee from Calif, USA

I think the bra fit me. I wish it looked as good on me as on the model. Unfortunately, it gave me those "high beam, pointy, attack breasts." I was trying (for me) a new style bra with more coverage. If this is how the 3-piece cups fit, then I have to give them a pass across the board. ~ So far as Grenier goes, they have high quality lingerie, and are one of the few that still use cotton in their foundation garments.
