I ordered this bra because of the great reviews it had. I ordered up a band size and down a cup size like it said. It was too big in the cups. Also, if someone has a tummy, the band is just going to give you even more of a "muffin top" look. You would have to wear some sort of shaper to go along with this. I think if I would have fit in the cups I would have kept it, and worn a shaper underneath, but I will be returning this bra because it was too small!

Goddess Response: Yes, this piece definitely needs a shaper to give a sleek, smooth silhouette. Usually # 689 fits beautifully when we use the “up-a-band-down-a-cup” guideline. And again, it’s so important to bring all of the breast tissue forward in front of the under wire to fill the cup: Neglecting this step can cause some of the breast tissue to be “left behind” –meaning not all of it will be contained in the cup. There could be some gaping and it can look as if the cups are too big. Cassie from Chicago, IL

Finding a well fitting bra is extremely difficult for an otherwise size 8 teen, usually bras of this size are only available for plus sizes. My daughter loved her bra. It was extremely comfortable and the fit was perfect. I will continue shopping HerRoom for all her...unmentionables :) Cindy from California/USA

The bra itself was really nice and I am sure I would have loved it if it had fit. I followed the guidelines for ordering this particular bra, but it ended up being way too big. I waited until the last minute to order this before my wedding, so I don't have time to do an exchange. The customer service for this company is excellent and I will shop here again.

Goddess Response: It’s not clear which was too big, the band or the cup. If the you are accustomed to wearing U.S. brands, we would ordinarily recommend going up a band size and down a cup size (and sometimes it’s necessary to go up two band sizes and down two cup sizes). A reminder: Make sure to “swoop-and-scoop” all of the breast tissue into the cup. Very often the cup will seem too big until the breast tissue is placed into the bra properly, and this will make all the difference in how the bra fits. Ashley from Richmond, VA

This bra blew my expectations. I plan to wear it for my senior prom in a few weeks. I have never been able to wear strapless dress before, and I am very excited for this upcoming event! The bra is extremely supportive of my bust. I even tried jumping vigorously for 5 minutes. Everything stayed in place! This bra has also helped me with my posture, considering I have very bad posture to begin with. The only problem I have with it is the fact that I need assistance hooking the bra on from the back. Besides this minor detail, I am extremely pleased with this product! Denise from NJ/USA

I was absolutly amazed with this bra! It keeps you lifted! I am a larger girl and it did corset me in as well but I had difficulty with it pushing fat down and below it. I also disliked the fact that you cant wear low cut shirts or dresses with it. but other than that this is the first strapless bra that I've been able to wear without falling out of it!! Listen to the size chart too...I wear a 36D and ordered a 38C, fit great! Stephanie from Missouri, USA

I bought this bra to wear under my wedding dress. I followed the directions and purchased a band size larger and 1 cup size smaller and it fit perfectly. Note though, that girls w/o a tummy, probably don't need to order a band size up. Everything else was perfect, great shaper, and the perfect lift. The only reason I give this a 4 and not a 5 is because the front of the bra is quite high, and its slightly visible when I turn to my side in my strapless wedding dress. I figured we can figure something out, since I love the bra so much (nothing else fits!!!!) Tina from Portland/OR

This is the best strapless bra ever!! I just received mine in the mail in preparation for a wedding that I am in in June. I read some of the other reviews about how to order the correct size. All you need to do is go up two sizes in band and down two sizes in cup size. It works perfectly! I usually wear a 42DDD, but I ordered this bra in a 46D. I normally worry about spilling out ALL over in my strapless bras, but I just ran laps in my house and the girls did not move. Greatest bra ever! Michaelyn from Sacramento CA

I think this garment runs big and wish I had ordered maybe the next size down. Though I had customer service help me its not their fault. Not everyone is built the same or does everyone's breast hang the same way. Since I lost weight (70lbs) my breast really droop so a smaller cup would have been better in my case. I am very pleased with this bra! I would have liked it to go down a bit farther as it ends about 2 inches above the waist, but the size and fit are great! It's difficult to find good strapless bras with an F cup that give the support you need. This bra gives the support I need and a great look as well! Love it! Christa from Silver Spring, MD

Love this item. The lace is beautiful and is comfortable. I am getting married and was looking for a bra to wear to try on gowns and this is perfect because I have a very large chest. It minimizes me around the bust and back. I would have given it 5 stars but the only thing is I can't get it on by my self so someone will need to help you get it on. Other than that it is the perfect strapless bra for your wedding garments. Kelly from Landover/MD/US

I thought I was never going to be able to wear any sexy tops this spring due to my large breasts, but I'm very happy to say I can!!! I don't have perky breasts and this bra lifts them like I was wearing a bra with the straps. I'm a 38DDD but I ordered a 40DD and it fits great. Thanks for making a strapless SUPPORTIVE bra for the rest of us!!! Sally C. from high point NC

This is a very fun piece of lingerie for women who are looking for more of a vintage flair. Don't buy it if you enjoy a more rounded breast shape, but it's fabulous for the '40s glamour feel!

As far as fitting goes, the coverage seems to be perfect for short women who are looking for the support to continue all the way through the waist and upper hip. I'm 6'1", so I'm only covered to 5" above my navel.

All in all? Very sexy, very glamorous, and the best strapless bra I've worn. (And definitely follow everyone else's advice about ordering up a band size or two; I did, and mine is perfect!) Ameloria from East Tennessee

OMG! I can wear a halter or strapless top or dress! Where was this bra all my life as I hid beneath huge t-shirts! I LOVE IT!! I did just as recommended I normally wear a 40G bra and went up a band size to a 42 (nervously) and down to an FF cup and it was PERFECT! I swore I would need to return it but it fit PERFECTLY! Being big chested (breastfed as well) my girls only hope was surgery, I couldn't afford that but this longline bra did miracles! I only bought it because of the reviews with a tad of hope here lol and I'm SO GLAD I DID! I live for reading reviews from others that help me make purchases I wont regret, this longline bra is worth the purchase its amazing! Thank you HerRoom! KimR from Blythewood SC USA

Beautiful bra. Not very happy with it overall. If choosing this bra, make sure you don't use just your bra size. Using bra size alone will not guarantee a fit.

Goddess Response: In order for this bustier to fit properly we recommend going up two band sizes, and down two cup sizes. For example: If you ordinarily wear a 42FF, she would wear a 46DD in God-689. BridalLady from Oklahoma

I ordered 4 different Bras from HerRoom and this is the one I decided to keep. Those I have returned were accepted no issue and a refund was issued in a timely fashion. (thanks) I normally buy a 38F and let the straps compensate for a lot, but with this bra there is no need to give a little to get a little. It gives comfortable support not only through the waist and back but, thanks to a little soft boning in the cup, there is perfect bust support as well. And most amazing the bust support doesn't add a quarter inch in padding or leave me with the dreaded torpedo boobs. The bottom sits comfortably between the naval and the base of the ribcage which (without an additional cincher) does create a bulge that would discourage tight fitting outer-garments. But all in all it is a GREAT Bra. I highly recommend at least ordering one to try, and if you don't like it taking advantage of HerRoom's excellent returns policies. Praise from Pittsburgh PA USA

It is a little too high on the top to wear with a low cut formal. I kept it to wear with other outfits instead of the formal. I went down a cup size and it fit perfectly by down sizing one cup size. Patsy from Spring

Great support--I was surprised to find a strapless in my size that worked so well. Downside: cups are a little pointy and the texture of the whole garment is not very smooth, so don't try to wear it under anything that's fairly sheer. Also I would recommend ordering a cup size down as I felt it was a little roomy there (I did and the size was right). Definitely recommend this if you're wearing it under thick fabric! Mary

Out of the three long line bra's I tried on this was the least attractive yet the lowest price. The one I tried on had one cup that was larger then the other... So I had some extra fabric on my left breast but my right fit perfectly. Beside the defect of the cups the bra fit fine.... I how ever wanted something a bit more beautiful under my wedding dress.

HerRoom Response: Thank you for this feedback. However, most women have one breast larger than the other. We don't think there was a defect with this bra. camilla from seattle wa usa

This longline is AMAZING. I ordered my size and it fit perfectly! I thought that I had to go up a band size but DON'T DO IT if you don't really have a tummy! It looks really vintage and gives me a slight bullet shape, which is exactly what I was looking for! It's not poke-your-eyes-out pointy, but gives your breasts a natural (yet lifted!) shape, not a squished down melon shape. Which I hate! I NEVER review anything online but I just had to share! This bra gives me amazing support and nips my waist in. I feel soooo confident! I'm ordering another in black!! Definitely an amazing investment. Wondering if I can dye my ivory longline so it's more nude... Kit from Los Angeles, CA

I really wanted this bra to work. I am 5'1'' and wear 36DD. I followed the advise of ordering a band size larger and a cup size smaller. The 38D's underwire stuck out about an inch away from my body. I ordered a 38C and still had the same problem. I'm sure this bra is terrific for some body types. I don't know if it is my height or what, but this bra did not work for me.

Goddess Response: Sometimes the relationship between a certain bra and a certain person is just not meant to be, no matter how much we might want it! I apologize that this style did not work for you. Julie from Northbrook, IL USA
