I'm 5'6" and currently wear a 38H. At the time I wore a 40G but upon arrival, I realized the bra was too small in the cup and I could stand to wear a band size larger to get a larger cup (since it was the only way I could get a larger size based on what was available). I sent it in for an exchange and when I got the new one in 42H, the cups fit amazingly well, but the underwire digs so deeply into my armpit that I can't wear it. I have never worn it more than the 5 mins trying it on. It currently hangs in my closet just waiting to be re-sold.
The color is amazing. Nude doesn't do it justice. It's more like a subdued gold satin. VERY Marilyn and VERY 50's, which are both reasons I was initially attracted to this bra. 50's without the pointy boobs = awesome. There are boning-type stays in the cup which are super supportive and help with shaping a lot. More bras should have this! There are detachable/adjustable straps as well so you can wear it criss-cross, halter or standard in addition to strapless. The straps it comes with are not thick or bulky like most bras in larger sizes which is another reason I was tempted to buy this bra.
All in all, I'd say this bra is NEAR great, but if underwire pokes you in the 'pits, how can you wear it? You can't. That "feature" is so ridiculous that it causes the bra to show in the underarm area, peaking out of my shirt about 1" which can't happen! I'd love for Goddess to remedy this issue because it's really hard to find a great strapless in my size (currently 38H). Until then... this one's going up for sale.
Valerie, thank you so much for your insights, we’ll be sure to pass your observations on to our Goddess designers!
Judging by your comments about the under-wire digging into your armpit and about the bra ‘peaking out’ of your shirt, you might actually need a smaller cup: You could accomplish this by ordering a 42G or a 40H (the band is generous so perhaps the 40H would be better).
