Goddess Response: We use a satin simplex fabrication in Goddess 6120 which is silky and soft. In order for the bra to offer the ultimate in lift and shaping we use flexible boning in the cups. As this style is designed to be worn primarily as a strapless bra, we use a silicone coated elastic on the inside of the band to help with anchorage and support. It could be you ordered an incorrect size, as very often we find it’s the size and not the style of the bra which causes discomfort. Please refer to Tomima’s 3 Steps to a Fabulous Fit to help guide you. Marilyn from Garnerville, New York
Goddess Response: Make sure you are in the correct size. The bra should tack in the center gore between the cups if it is the correct cup size, therefore should not gap at the top of the cup. Also make sure you do not need a smaller band. Kimberly from York pa
Goddess Response: Judging by what you say, I’d recommend a smaller band size which would “snug it up” around the torso, and provide a more custom fit. You’ll find this bra isn’t pointy if it’s worn in the correct size. Alternatively, you might want to cross over to our Elomi brand and try Elomi Strapless Bra 1230 : This fabulous strapless bra has seamless foam molded cups for a totally smooth, natural look. Elomi is UK-sized, so you’d be a 38FF. jane from lauderhill fl usa
Goddess Response: Generally speaking manufacturers often tighten up the band in a strapless bra to help with lift and support. Remember, you can’t rely on the straps, simply because there aren’t any. All of the support must come from the body of the bra. 6120 goes to a 46-band, so you can adjust the cup and band size for that perfect fit. Vivianne from Houston
Goddess Response: It might be that you need to go down a band size and up in the cup to anchor the bra more securely. Alternatively you could “cross-over” to our Elomi brand and try our Elomi strapless 1230. This style features foam molded cups for super support, and offers two more cup sizes than GD6120. Sometimes it’s necessary to go up in the cup in order for the center gore to “tack” against the breast-bone, and for the under-wire to surround all of the breast tissue. It’s important for every bra, but it’s absolutely essential for a strapless bra! Candyce from Champaign, IL
Goddess Response: It’s difficult to know for sure without seeing the bra on you, but judging by your description the size is completely wrong for you. Happily this bra is offered in oodles of sizes (up to an H cup)! With a bit of trial and error and a little patience, you can find your perfect size and that will make all the difference. The color is amazing. Nude doesn't do it justice. It's more like a subdued gold satin. VERY Marilyn and VERY 50's, which are both reasons I was initially attracted to this bra. 50's without the pointy boobs = awesome. There are boning-type stays in the cup which are super supportive and help with shaping a lot. More bras should have this! There are detachable/adjustable straps as well so you can wear it criss-cross, halter or standard in addition to strapless. The straps it comes with are not thick or bulky like most bras in larger sizes which is another reason I was tempted to buy this bra.
All in all, I'd say this bra is NEAR great, but if underwire pokes you in the 'pits, how can you wear it? You can't. That "feature" is so ridiculous that it causes the bra to show in the underarm area, peaking out of my shirt about 1" which can't happen! I'd love for Goddess to remedy this issue because it's really hard to find a great strapless in my size (currently 38H). Until then... this one's going up for sale.
Goddess Response: Valerie, thank you so much for your insights, we’ll be sure to pass your observations on to our Goddess designers! Judging by your comments about the under-wire digging into your armpit and about the bra ‘peaking out’ of your shirt, you might actually need a smaller cup: You could accomplish this by ordering a 42G or a 40H (the band is generous so perhaps the 40H would be better).
