Goddess Response: I know it can be frustrating when we want an absolutely seam-free look and then we’re told there are no smooth bras available in our size! The truth is a bra with seams will shape and sculpt the breast tissue –actually making your silhouette look taller, longer and leaner. Often a seamless bra can make your silhouette look a tad larger, even a bit rounder. After all, our first impression of someone is their overall shape and proportion, not whether their bra has seams or not… Stacey from NJ
Goddess Response: We’re so sorry this bra caused you such discomfort. It is the first time we’ve heard of problems with the fabrication, and we’ll certainly pass on your concerns to our designers. You mentioned that next time you would order a 34J, and by the sound of it this could alleviate some of the problems you’re experiencing. Very often, if the band is too big, the bra can move around the torso creating friction. By tightening up the band a bit, the bra won’t move around like that, and it won’t create that awful rubbing and chafing. A snugger band also provides a greater level of support and stability. Have you soaked the bra in fabric softener? We find that quite often this helps to soften the edges. As for the ‘1950s’ look you spoke about, sometimes we can experience a more projected look when the cups are slightly too small, because too much breast tissue can be forced into too small a space. Goddess Response: Very often it’s the size, not the style which causes the problem. Even the best bra in the world can’t do the job it’s designed to do if it’s worn in an incorrect size. Most of the support should come from the “body” of the bra, not the straps. The fact that you’re relying so much on your straps for support tells me you’re most likely in the wrong size. Generally speaking going up in the cups one or even several sizes, and then down in the band usually solves the problem. (Please refer to HerRoom's Bra Fitting Page for sizing and fit help.) The straps on GD6041 are limited stretch, and this style is designed to comfortably support a D11 cup! However, if you prefer rigid straps and a bra with maximum support and control, please try our fabulous new bra, Goddess Audrey Soft Cup Bra GD6121. Audrey features soft rigid straps with a movable padded strap cushion for complete motion control. Lynda from Danville, CA
Goddess Response: This style does have a four-section cup with side support panels to bring the breast tissue forward. Very often it’s the size, not the style which doesn’t work. A lot of factors can also affect your measurements. Please refer to Tomima’s 3 Steps to a Fabulous Fit and our Bra Size Calculator to help you find your perfect size. Cheryl from W. Covina/CA/USA
Goddess Response: Fortunately GD6090 has lots of cup and band sizes to choose from, (bands to 46, and to D11 cups) so you can go up in the cup and band as much as you like. Also, please note that a lot of factors can affect your measurements - the bra you’re wearing, the firmness of your breasts, the broadness of your back, the narrowness of your shoulders... These factors and more can give you a false bra size once you’ve measured yourself. Please refer to Tomima’s 3 Steps to a Fabulous Fit and our Bra Size Calculator to help you find your perfect size.
