My breasts are very heavy and bra straps often dig into my shoulders causing pain. From the moment I tried this bra, it fit like a dream. I have returned today to purchase more. Ladies, don't hesitate this one is a winner. kim from silver spring, md

This bra isn't the prettiest thing on earth- it's rather plain and simple but not ugly. It is however very comfortable and supportive. Very, very comfortable. For me, the cups ran small so I had to order a size up. I will definitely be purchasing this bra again. Sarah from Atlanta

While this style is more attractive than standard minimizers, I found it exteremely uncomfortable. The underwire's design dug into my ribcage causing the area just under the breastbone and upper tummy to puff out. The cup size runs two sizes too small. The design is such that the sillouette of the bust is pushed way up(that part is good), but in a 1950's bullet way. Did not care for this design.I will stick to my pricier but far more comfortable wacoal models!

Goddess Response: 6090 is a very specific or custom fit type of bra, so if the cup or band size is off it will not be at all comfortable. However, when the size is correct, the Goddess brand provides wonderful lift, support and comfort. If the cups are too small, the breast tissue is forced forward into too small a space and may tend to give that 'bullet' shape. 6090 will give a lovely lifted natural shape if worn in the correct size. danielle from new york

I bought this at a local specialty bra shop. I actually have 2 in a 40K and one in a 40I, but the shop didn't carry J for some reason. The I is too small and I think the K is too big, so take my review with a grain of salt! The bra is pretty comfortable and has lasted me a long time with hand washings. I just am not fond of the shape it gives me--too round and big whereas I prefer a more pointy look. If you prefer a rounded, more "natural" look, then this bra will be great for you! Ill fitting, uncomfortable straps, underwire stabbed my arms, so sorry I purchased it; Keeping it as a reminder of personal folly.

Goddess Response: It does sound as if you may have ordered the wrong size. 6090 is a very specific fit type of bra, and if the cup or the band size is off nothing about the bra will work and naturally it will be horribly uncomfortable. Most of the support comes from the "body" of the bra (the cups and the band). If the body of the bra isn’t fitting properly, the bra can’t do the job of supporting the breast tissue. The balance of support will be compromised and the straps will have to do all the work. All this can make the straps feel uncomfortable… E from New York

The bra sizing was entirely off...on the small side. Typically I wear a 38DDD and this bra was no where near my size. The bra was gorgeous and well made. I have reordered in a larger size to make allowances.

Goddess Response: Terah, it’s difficult to comment as I don’t know which bras or brands you’re comparing 6090 to…The great news is 6090 offers plenty of cup sizes (to an L-cup!) so I’m sure you’ll find the perfect size for you! Terah from Nitro, WV

I was happy to get this bra on sale and for the price it was ok. I've tried similar underwire styles in Panache and Elomi with no complaints, but I had a few issues with this bra. I would've preferred non stretchy straps and the band on this one was too stretchy too. I've purchased other Goddess styles in size 40L and found that one cup would be too small so I went up a cup size in this bra. Now one cup fits perfectly while the other is too large and puckering. I'd like to purchase more Goddess styles but I'm having too many sizing issues. Trish from Albany, NY

I really liked the bra. It was comfortable and seemed to be well made. Unfortunately I got the wrong size and had to remeasure myself. I will have to send it back and exchange it for a 38GG. Ruth from Flowery Branch/Georgia/USA

The good: It fits! I've been having the worst time finding bras that fit and this one does. It's also very pretty, unlike so many other bras in my size.

The bad: It's not completely comfortable. The underwire pokes me under my arm, a problem that is fixable, but if I sit down, it digs right into my rib cage and that's a problem nothing can fix. I've come to the conclusion that for me, there is simply no such thing as a comfortable underwire bra, which is too bad, because I really was hoping this would be the bra I didn't have to return.

Goddess Response: Very often under-wire bras are uncomfortable because we’re not in the correct size, or (just as importantly) we don’t place the breasts into the cups properly. Make sure you’re bringing the breast tissue forward from the back to the front to fill the cups. The breasts should be supported by the under-wire somewhat like "eggs on a plate". There should be no space between the underside of the breast and the under-wire, and of course the under wire should sit behind, not on top of the breast tissue. If however you’re one of those people who just can’t tolerate an under-wire bra, we have some pretty soft-cup bras in your size that you might love. Candice from Los Angeles, CA

Underwire is extremely uncomfortable and pokes into sides.

Goddess Response: If you’re in the correct size, the bra should feel very comfy. You may need to go up or down in the cup. Also, it’s so important to place the breasts into the cups properly, making sure the under-wire surrounds and supports the breast tissue. The under-wire should sit behind the breast tissue on bone. I have finally found the PERFECT bra for me! It's amazing that they even make a bra with such large cup sizes let alone make it pretty, comfortable and affordable - not to mention it truly holds the girls in! And a big thanks to HerRoom for giving the instructions for measuring yourself to find the proper cup/band sizing. I'm pretty sure I will never buy a bra in a store again~ Juanita from IN

Really great fit. Has great side support with enough coverage to not create that under arm bulge. The bra doesn't show under my favorite tank either! Too bad the seams show through on t-shirts. I know at this size a multiple part cup gives the best shape/support but I still wish they had a seamless version too! Heide

I have wanted to try this bra out for a while now. Once it went on sale, I decide to give it a try from all the wonderful feedback and ratings. First of all to find an under-wire bra in my size 42J that actually fits and comfortably well it's like a dream come true. I have always been a loyal Goddess customer, but I started noticing that the sizes were getting smaller and I was afraid I would have to eventually settle for a "granny bra". I'm in my early 30's and did not want to end up wearing a bra that wasn't both sexy and durable. As for this bra it's A God send! It's really comfortable, the wire sits perfectly against my chest and under my arms as well as against my ribcage. The lift this bra gives seems to defy gravity and I looked like I lost even more weight then I really had recently. Since the bra lifts so well my waist automatically looked elongated and the purple color is so pretty. I honestly love this bra and plan on buying it in every color! I just wish even more colors were available. Ambersioux from Denver,CO

Bra fits fantastically, color is gorgeous and for a plus-size bra it fits under my clothes well. Only problems are that the seams are really noticeable under a T-shirt and that if I wear it for several hours it starts to get uncomfortable. Ashley from WA

I was so excited about this bra because it looked pretty which is rare in my size and it was inexpensive. I am still trying to recover from the blisters and now scars that I have from this bra. I had to exchange it several times to get the right size and now I still wont wear it for fear of more injury. I would not recommend it.

Goddess Response: It’s so important to get precisely the right fit in order for the bra to be able to do its job! When the bra fits right, and is the proper shape for your body type, then it should feel comfy and supportive with not a hint of a blister or worse, a ‘scar’!? ‘Blister’ and ‘scar’ are words that should not be in any vocabulary describing what bras do! I love the bra but think I may have the wrong size. The band is too loose, the wire does not fit between the breast and I have to put straps on the tightest level to get support. What size should I try? I am thinking about getting a 36 band but not sure about the cup. Please advise. I must admit this is still as close to the perfect fit that I've ran across. I've been sold DDD, G's, E's and K's. Please help!

Goddess Response: Usually we find that we achieve a more customized fit if we go down in the band and up in the cup. Judging by the HHs, I think you might be sizing herself according to UK sizing. At the moment #6090 only comes to a 36HH UK, or a 36L US sizing, so I’m a little puzzled… It definitely sounds like you need a smaller band, so you should try a 36HH UK, or 36L US. If you find that the cup is now too small, you might try #6041 in a 36L US, as the cups run a bit fuller. If you need a much bigger cup you could try Elomi Caitlyn 8030 which goes to a JJ cup. This would allow her to go down to a 34-band size if you need to, while still giving the cup depth that you need. Angenetta from TX

I wasn't quite sure about this bra when I tried it on the first time. Since then it has grown on me. I ordered a 36 and it's a little big (I had a baby a couple of months ago so I think I've gone down to a 34), but still wearable. The cups fit, though I feel they are a little bit on the 50's-bullet-bra side of things. However, it's kinda nice for the girls to be so perky! Overall good bra. Kari S from Knoxville, TN

This is the first time I have worn a bra like this. It totally reshaped me. I was wearing minimizers and they kind of mashed me out on the sides. This bra shaved the sides down, lifted and separated and made me look like I lost weight. The bra is very comfortable. I love the way it makes me look Pat from Brooklyn NY

I love the contour of the garment it fits well. I did however make a mistake when ordering. I ordered a 36 band width instead of a 34. It's okay though I'll order the smaller size next time. Service was great and prompt. Won't shop for bras anywhere else. Civitavecchia from Philadelphia/PA/United States

Cup size was smaller than some other brands. It did not fit and is being returned. I find buying bras by mail order very difficult because of the lack of standarization between manufacturers.

HerRoom Response: You may not know this, but many manufacturers call your cup size by other letters. For instance, some manufacturers refer to a G Cup as an F cup, or an FF cup, and even other letters. If you need help deciphering what your cup size is in a particular brand, please see our size conversion chart, which lists each brand's cup sizing protocol. Anita from Madison, AL, USA

Keeps them up and separated, just that they didn't want to stay under my breasts, they kept riding up until some breast started popping out underneath. I fixed the straps but its still not 100% sherry from LI ny

I love this bra...I feel well supported and I don't have to worry about the middle poking out...but under the arms the wire does poke after a while...if only Goddess would have repair kits for the wire that pokes under the arms would be amazing. The bra lasts a long time under the poking begins.

Goddess Response: By ‘poking’ do you mean the wire escapes from the casing? It’s important to put the bra into a lingerie bag if you must machine-wash it –although we do recommend hand-washing to prolong the life of the bra (of course it goes without saying never ever put it into the drier!) All of this affects the wear-and-tear of the bra and weakens the stitching holding the wire in the casings. Hope this helps. Pamela from Charlotte, NC, USA
