Disappointing fit, it is more of a shelf bra, which does not separate breasts, rather pushes them together. Difficult to reach clasps together, fits very tightly like a sports bra.

HerRoom Response: It sounds as if you need a deeper cup for better bust separation. If the cup is too shallow it will force the breast tissue together (in a too small space) and give that dreaded “smooshed” appearance. You’re right Goddess 5056 IS designed as a sports bra… If you’re looking for a soft cup bra which offers more separation you might want to try a style with a four-part cup. The seams shape and support the breasts and create a deeper cup which will help with separating the breast tissue. Goddess has several styles to choose from, all very pretty and feminine. You might like Keira 6093, a gorgeous satiny bra with a sheer top cup for a glamorous look. If you prefer more coverage Alice GD 6040 is the bra for you. It features an “M” frame for perfect bust separation and a more defined shape. Or you could try Rose 6083, a seductive all-over lace bra. I want you to know you have choices! Angela

This is the best sports bra I've EVER worn!!! It lifts and holds everything in place, is comfortable to wear all day, and never gets a funky odor after workouts (thanks to the silver thread in the lining!). I have recommended it to friends who needed more support, and have only heard the highest praises!! Brooke from TX

The front of this bra, on the sides, cut into me uncomfortably. I may try a larger size, but it seems to be related to the design.

Goddess Response: It really does sound like you need a larger cup size. This bra should feel very comfy! molly from maine

Being a small person with a G cup size, this bra is most comfortable. I play tennis and this is the only bra I have found to feel good and give support. ak from charleston, sc

This bra keeps me in position and stays comfortable all the way through my workouts, both cardio and weight training. No small task. And it doesn't look like I have one large breast spread across my chest, the good old uni-boob look. KellyRed from California

I have worn this sports bra for years...Seems to me that ones ordered recently are running smaller in the band size..I sent one back...just too tight for comfort for me. Cindy from Sugar Land, Texas USA

I don't know if this item was mislabeled in the first place or if it's just the design, but I always thought that the number on a bra size was the diameter of the chest right below the breasts. Hence, a 48DD (in theory) would have a 48 inch band and then the cups. Right? Well, this 48DD sports bra has a band that measures only ~40~ inches!!! I measured it after I TRIED to try it on without any luck. Once I realized I was trying to fit a 40 inch band around a 48 inch chest I didn't feel so stupid, as I had started to think I was just lame! Nope, wasn't me, was the BRA! I still need to tape the package back up and return it. I have since gone with another brand from another site.

HerRoom Response: Please read our section on finding your bra size. Several mistakes were made here. Cindy from Wyoming

I think this bra would be excellent as a sports bra and as a bathing suit top, but the sizing seems to be off. I always wear a 44 or 46, and I couldn't get this bra around me in either size. I'm mystified. I've worn Goddess (as have most women of my bra size) for years. Yet, the Goddess bras of the last two or so years seen to be much smaller in circumference. I have two other Goddess underwires. They're fine but a little snugger than the older models. I'm very disappointed that the sports bra didn't work out. I think it's a good one for women who can hook it. Maybe the bras I tried on and returned were mismarked.

Goddess Response: Sport bras fit a bit snug in order to help anchor the band so it will not ride up during exercise. You may need to go up a band size. Susan from Houston, TX

I have tried many types of sport bras and this is by far the best for support. I use it for running, it keeps the girls in place. I have one so far that has lasted over 3 years and they also wash very well. Sarah from MI

Great fit, great support. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it goes a little higher up on the chest than I would prefer. Other than that, great sports bra. Terri from Michigan

A truly amazing sports bra for a difficult-to-find size. I really recommend this to anyone who needs a lot of support. It feels great, not too tight, doesn't smash my breasts, looks cute under my workout tops, and no chafing problems. I'll definitely be acquiring several of these to get me through marathon training. This is a great sports bra! It gives plenty of support and holds up well wash after wash. Although, I did find that I had to buy a larger size than normal. I have recommended this bra to several of my gym friends. I've also thrown out all of the other brands of sports bras that I own! Kris from North Carolina

This is the first sports bra I have ever had that has truly helped minimize the bounce. The band is just a little bit tight for me right now but since it doesn't hurt anymore when I am doing aerobics I am exercising more and losing weight. I'm sure that It will fit better soon ;). jen from Los Angeles
