I returned it - I need the underwire

Goddess Response: If you feel you need an under-wire sports bra, we have the perfect style for you! You might want to “transition” to our Elomi brand which offers a fabulous sports bra with an under-wire, Energise 8040. Energise has a unique non-compression design with bust separation, shaping and support. The wire finishes below the neck edge, while the higher neckline offers super control and minimizes bounce. Of course the fabrication wicks moisture away from the skin as well. Many customers love this bra so much that they’re wearing it as an “every day bra”! You would wear a 38E in UK sizing. Ever since I starting using these sports bras, running isn't such a big issue anymore. Being in the Army, we do A LOT of running. So knowing that there's a sports bra in my size that actually supports, it makes PT in the morning that much less stressful. Jessica from New Jersey

I have been wearing these bras for years. At first I wore them only for working out, but found them to be so comfortable (but also leaving a nice profile) that I decided to wear them all the time. I have the gray and white as well as black. I do hand wash them, so they have stayed in shape and form fora lengthy period. I highly recommend them for any large-busted woman to wear for exercising or all the time, like me! Kimberley from Oak PArk, IL, USA

This bra runs small. 3 inches was needed for it to fit. I wear a 44 and decided to go up a size to make sure it fit. Didn't come close to fitting. Went to Lane Bryant in the mall to purchase a bra that would be true to size. Hate that I had to pay the return postage on a item that should have fit.

Goddess Response:You’re correct, the band on this style does run small and it’s not consistent with how the rest of the Goddess brand fits. If you ordered a 46" band and found it too small, just go up another band size to 48". If the cup fits you in a 46" band, and the 48" band feels right, simply go down in the cup. Your size would be 48DD. As you know all brands fit differently, and it’s important to be flexible about what size you wear in each brand as it won’t necessarily be the same. Many brands use a very forgiving stretchy fabric in their bands, which doesn’t give the ultimate support you’d expect in a sports bra. Our bands are generally firmer, and the support comes mostly from the body of the bra, and doesn’t depend so much on the straps. In order to accomplish this the band needs to be firm to anchor the bra, and to support the breast tissue. Chris from MN

Nice support, but I could never wear this bra alone as a sports bra. I wear a regular underwire bra and wear this over it for extra support. The bottom band is very supportive. It is ery comfortable and functional for working out and is true to size. Veronica from New York

This bra keeps my chest in place and does not allow my chest to bounce when running. The straps stay in place and it is a really comfortable bra. Best sports bra I've owned. Jackie

This is the best sports bra. I love the control, the comfort, the support. I have had this bra for at least 5 years and wore it at least three times a week to workout in. I am now finally having to purchase a new one. Not many bras out there last even close to that long. So glad they are still making it. Lorenza from Kansas

Disappointing fit, it is more of a shelf bra, which does not separate breasts, rather pushes them together. Difficult to reach clasps together, fits very tightly like a sports bra.

HerRoom Response: It sounds as if you need a deeper cup for better bust separation. If the cup is too shallow it will force the breast tissue together (in a too small space) and give that dreaded “smooshed” appearance. You’re right Goddess 5056 IS designed as a sports bra… If you’re looking for a soft cup bra which offers more separation you might want to try a style with a four-part cup. The seams shape and support the breasts and create a deeper cup which will help with separating the breast tissue. Goddess has several styles to choose from, all very pretty and feminine. You might like Keira 6093, a gorgeous satiny bra with a sheer top cup for a glamorous look. If you prefer more coverage Alice GD 6040 is the bra for you. It features an “M” frame for perfect bust separation and a more defined shape. Or you could try Rose 6083, a seductive all-over lace bra. I want you to know you have choices! Angela

This is the best sports bra I've EVER worn!!! It lifts and holds everything in place, is comfortable to wear all day, and never gets a funky odor after workouts (thanks to the silver thread in the lining!). I have recommended it to friends who needed more support, and have only heard the highest praises!! Brooke from TX

The front of this bra, on the sides, cut into me uncomfortably. I may try a larger size, but it seems to be related to the design.

Goddess Response: It really does sound like you need a larger cup size. This bra should feel very comfy! molly from maine

This bra keeps me in position and stays comfortable all the way through my workouts, both cardio and weight training. No small task. And it doesn't look like I have one large breast spread across my chest, the good old uni-boob look. KellyRed from California
