The front close bras style is very popular in sports bras since it allows for superior back support and ease of use. Many sports bra styles have several fasteners; having them on the front panel of the bra makes it much easier to get on and off. Front-close sports bras come in a variety of closure styles including zippers or multiple hook-and-eye closures.
Sports bras are usually categorized by the intensity of exercise--low, medium and high impact. All use encapsulation or compression or both to provide support. Because sports bras typically are constructed with wider straps and bands and more coverage, they usually do require more fasteners. The exception is the pull-over style, which some consider the most supportive but also the hardest to put on. By far, the easiest style is the front closing sports bra. No wrangling it over your head or twisting to fasten it in the back.
