Longline bras are a modern day version of the corset, with all of the benefits but much more comfortable. They provide a smoother, slimmer silhouette as well as back support and posture improvement. Long line bras are available in two lengths: three-quarter which usually ends at the bottom of the ribs or full-length, which ends at the hips. The form-fitting bodice can make longline bras more comfortable and easier to wear than standard strapless bras since it provides lift and support.
Front close bras have enormous advantages over back closing models. Primarily, front closure makes a bra with so many fasteners--as many as 14 hooks-- much easier to take on and off. Some styles have specially constructed back panels for back support and to provide additional smoothness--eliminating bulges. These styles are popular as wedding lingerie and under evening wear.
