Such a disappointing item. The seams are in a terrible spot, right over the nipple area, and they pucker quite a bit - making the breasts appear to by quite pointy. I am always so happy with Freya's swimwear, but this piece completely misses the mark.

Freya Response: Because of the puckering and pointy shape, we think your cup might be too big. We suggest trying this in a 30DD to provide a more sung fit. Kristina from Portland, OR

I am so glad to have found this wire free swim tank. It provides excellent support while allowing for supreme comfort. Because I wear a GG in most brands, I was struggling to find a comfortable swim set that fit great. This is the best option I have found for busty girls.I would love to see this in more colors. I love this look of this suit, but the liner cups are weirdly shaped and bunching. I wear a 32DD and ordered this and another Freya bikini in at 34D. The bikini top fit great, but this one had the bunched up lining showing through the tankini top. So I am exchanging it for a 34C and we'll see. Angela from Cambridge, MA

This is the second Freya Tankini I have ordered, as I liked the other one so well. The comfort, coverage and support is great especially for my tall height (5'11"). I also appreciate the support in a swim top. WLW from Washinton DC

This is my second purchase, different color, of this tankini. I like the length of this top, as I am tall, and the fit. I also like the support it provides. WW from washington dc

Super cute set with the Active shorts. I had another generously endowed friend on our scuba trip ask what brand it was. Comfortable under the wetsuit. The clasp in the back held well, and I didn't feel it at all beneath my scuba gear. It also dried quickly, so I was able to wear it - and abandon my one piece suits - repeatedly on a long, multiple daily dive trip, and it was always ready to go. I'm also happy that it doesn't have underwires because they would have gotten "torqued" out of shape with the high level of activity that I'm doing in it. (I wrecked an underwire suit last round). The jury is still out on the Freya Active Swim Tankini Top. The cups seem a bit "pointy," but I like the coverage elsewhere. Laurie from Boise, ID USA

It's got bra sizing but just doesn't have enough support for me. I was looking for something with an underwire. It really wasn't flattering on me either. If you're looking for something like a sports bra, this might work for you. I do like the criss-crossed straps across the back.

Freya Response: If you are liking a little more of a feminine look in a swim tankini, try Freya In the Mix Underwire 50’s Halter Tankini Swim Top, featuring a feminine ruffle at the front neckline. Great look, great support! AW from New Orleans, LA

The fit and support this tankini offer is great. My only complaint is the bust is a little pointy. I love that there is no under wire and is so comfortable to wear. Summer from Tennessee

I think it might be a fit issue. I love the material and the design of the tankini top, but even though I'm filling out the cups, my upper breast tissue is being smashed into a flat downward slope that isn't comfortable or flattering. It makes me less round and saggier looking than if I go without a bra. I'm going to go up a cup size and see if that helps with the compression issue. All my good bras are Freya and I want this to work because they fit me best. Ashley from KS

The cups run WAY SMALLER than any other garment I have in this size. The cups are bumpy with vertical seams showing through. Returning for a different brand. Xtina from USA

The seams from the shelf bra show through and give the breasts a lumpy unnatural appearance. I am usually DDD and filled the bra to the max. Good coverage -- well cut at arms. Jennifer from Olympia, WA

I bought this top because I was hoping to find something that defied gravity and it does! My only reasons for not giving it 5 stars are the seam across the nipple looks bumpy. It would be nice if they could smooth that out. And my breasts look like they are sitting on a shelf - they enter a room long before I do. ;) FYI - I normally wear a 36DD but the 36E fit the best (I tried on a 36D, and 36DD also). Over all I think I'm happy though. I haven't gotten to "use" it yet but at least I don't look like I've nursed two babies anymore and the support seem good as long as I'm not running and jumping. This tankini fits true to size and gives terrific support. In my 50's, a natural 34F, I need it! I can literally run on the beach with this on, it is like a great sports bra turned into a bathingsuit top. I only gave 4 stars as it does give a cone boob look, but that is a minor trade off for the support and comfort of this cute top. Looks great on, despite the cone boob look. (I normally wear a minimizer and don't like this much projection.) Why there aren't more bra sized tankini's in t-back style is a mystery to me! Gigi from Detroit/MI

It's amazing what a difference a good fit can make. I was nervous to order online as I thought that I would be in for 10 rounds of order & return, for sure. This suit arrived and gave me exactly what I needed: a practical, comfortable top that I can wear while swimming with my toddler daughter. No fear that her pulling on me might cause a "wardrobe malfunction" as with other suits in my dresser! Sarah from Walnut Creek, CA

This is a VERY nice piece of swimwear! The only reason that I did not give it the full 5 stars is because I have to take up (alter) the straps about 1 inch, as it was much too loose. Otherwise, I simply can not believe that I was able to purchase a swimwear top based on my specific size. THANKS! BA from Greencastle, IN

This is a very supportive and snug suit with good coverage--better than most tankinis. However, it was really pointy in the cups and I looked truly awful in it.

Freya Response: Jenny, you might need a smaller cup size. Sometimes when the cup isn’t filled out completely, the seam can pucker and look a bit pointy. Maybe try some of our other Freya or Fantasie tankinis, we have lots of fabulous styles to choose from! Take a peek at Hello Sailor Underwire Bandeau Tankini Swim Top AS3466 –a super cute twist on a nautical theme, or Fame Underwire 50s Halter Tankini Swim Top AS3508 –a vibrant lime and aqua concoction. You might also like Key West Underwire Scoop Neck Tankini Swim Top FS5491 in our Fantasie brand –a graphic print contrasting with baby dots. As you can see, you have sooo many choices! By the way, Fantasie tankinis offer a bit more coverage than those in the Freya brand… Jenny from Annapolis, MD

I wear this suit for 1-2 mile swims several times each week. The bra is great and the fit is perfect. It is the only suit I can find with an appropriate bra for active swimming. The fabric has held up well although it is faded from the pool water. Susan from Columbus Ohio

While this is very comfortable for casual swimming, if you're into athletic, competitive, or speed swimming, be aware that it flops about a bit. The support in the bust is not what it could be, and the breasts are allowed more movement rather than being pulled close to the body. The craftsmanship and materials are lovely. It's just too big, and I've no idea what size would work for me. It's been worn, so I can't return it. So if you choose this top, make sure you read the reviews (like you are now) and request fitting advice.

Freya Response: It sounds very much as if you need a smaller band size for that firm body hug you’re looking for. If the cup fits you, and the “body” of the suit is too big, just go down a band size (34D4). If you feel the cup and body of the suit are both too big, go down a cup and band size (34D3). I'm very pleased with the top. It fits perfectly, looks nice and it's great for swimming. It is very hard to find an active swimwear if you have large breasts. Most DD+ sized swimwear is suitable for sitting on the beach only or for women with implants defying gravity. With this top, you don't have to worry about coming out of rough ocean water with on nipple peaking out. The shipping was free and fast and I'm very happy to find HerRoom. Zofia from NJ

I had recently been properly fitted for bras, due to my back being in pain from the weight of my chest (my bras were clearly not doing their job). I was wearing a 36DD, but to my surprise, I am actually a 34G! Who knew someone could be wearing the wrong size for so long?! So of course, with knowledge of my new size, I was worried about how swimsuits were going to work for me. Popular stores that are easily accessible don't carry 34G swimsuit tops, so here I was trying to find things online... I was looking for a top that would function as a water sports top (wake boarding, inter tubing, etc.). Thank goodness I came across this swimsuit! I feel that it is very age appropriate, as it looks youthful and sporty... But still provides the coverage I need. The only negative thing that I have to comment on is yes, like a lot of the other reviews, it does kind of pucker along the seam line where your nipples would be... So it does give a weird "nippage" look at certain angles. I figured I could overcome that small challenge with some light pads for inserts (sew them in the under mesh where your chest sits into, so you can't see the new sewn in details ;). I also see where other reviewers claim to have "cone boobs," but I honestly think they should go down a size or two to help their chest fit in it tightly. I bought a 34F in this top (I'm normally a 34G), and it fits snug like a sports bra. Love it, can't wait to wear it, and I hope this review encourages other sporty, youthful women who aren't ready for the skirted one-pieces to at least try this on! Sarah from Washington
