From the reviews I thought the garment ran really small and so I ordered the extra large and wished I had gone medium or large.

I initially loved this cute skirted swimsuit but waited to review until after I'd pool-tested it: Now I love it even more! Secure for swimming, comfy for sunbathing, quick-drying, and paired with its ruffled halter top makes a youthfully cute but figure flattering set if you're looking to distract from the imperfections of middle age. The polka dots and ruffle keep it from looking like underwear like most black swimsuits. If you've got a flat behind, the slim cut works great and avoids the extra fabric of many swimsuits -- but might be a little "Brazilian" if you're more amply endowed in back. Freya Response: You could try a small? Some of the Freya bottoms tend to be more skimpy than the bottoms of the Fantasie swimwear which are a little bit fuller in the bottom. MLB

This bikini bottom completes the perfect pairing to its matching underwire bikini top. I feel that the bottoms are true to size, as I always wear a medium sized bottom. It's made very well, but I can't tell if it's the right size or not. According to the sizing chart, my hips say that I should be a large and my waist says that I should be a medium. These bottoms are very cute and comfortable. I thought they ran a little big so I actually returned the small for an extra small. The back has a more narrow cut on the bottom, not really full coverage. That is actually ok for me since I don't have much of a bottom and it helps give the appearance that I do.
