I am officially in love with this bra! Though it took a little more finagling then normal to get it on properly(a bit of bending shaking and scooping was involved) once everything was in place it fit like a glove! I almost bought up a cup size (because sometimes bra sizing can be a little odd, especially in sports bras) but I'm glad I didn't. This bra is just lovely. I was SO HAPPY to find a sports bra that was available in smaller band/bigger bust sizes. I've tried out other sports bras for "big busted women" before and NEVER been happy with the fit. I was so happy when I put on this bra I literally immediately did a set of jumping jacks and went for a run. I'd had no idea how prohibitive my previous ill fitting sports bras had been to me until I put on this bra. Not to mention the reason I originally decided to buy this bra, it's cute! Well, as cute as big sports bras ever get. So so happy, words do not fully express my joy. Yay Freya! Nicole from Sacramento, CA

This is my new favorite bra for any activity that might have me break a sweat. I wear it for rock climbing or gardening on the loosest setting, for running I cinch it tight and there's no bounce at all. Either way, it wicks away sweat and eliminates the "wrapped in plastic" feel I hate so much. It did take me 3 tries to get the right size, but HerRoom made that easy, and now that I have it, I think I'll order another. II wish it came in black and white, because sometimes I don't feel like wearing red :) It does have visible seams and kind of a "bullet bra" shape, but it's nice to be able to work out and look good at the same time! I love my new bra. Only thing is when you jump it doesn't hold them still so my chest is sore but not bad at all. I can tell when I change my bra out and put on a different one. This has way more support than any of my others. tina from oklahoma

I was so excited to finally find a sports bra in my size. Plus, I love regular Freya bras; I have five of them and the fit is perfect. Unfortunately, the fit of this sports bra is awful! The underwire does not lie flat against the sternum, suggesting that the cups are too small; however, there is an excess of material right at the nipples as if the cups are too large! So, I guess the bra is designed for women with tubular shaped breasts. Extremely disappointed.

Freya Response: I’m a bit puzzled by this scenario, because 4392 usually fits like a dream! It’s so important to put yourself into the bra properly: Swoop-and-scoop, bringing the breast tissue forward and into the cups so that the under-wire surrounds and supports the breast. Sometimes I’ll suggest that a customer go down in the cup in this style, which also by the way will take care of that wrinkling in the nipple area. nanci from St Louis, MO

It's difficult enough to find bras in my size; to find a sports bra as effective as this one is exceptionally satisfying. It holds the girls in place through hours of jump training and zumba, but also gives a flattering shape (it *does* make my breasts look smaller because it compresses them just a tiny bit, but the tailoring doesn't give the "uni-boob" of some sports bras). Straps are comfortable and allow me full range of motion, and the fabric does a great job of wicking sweat. I would (and already have!) recommend this sports bra to friends. I wish I had found this a long time ago; for that matter I wish I had had a professional do my measurements a long time ago. I've always had difficulty finding a decent sports bra, and they don't seem to hold up under strenuous activity. So far, I'm thrilled with this bra, and the best thing I can say is that when I'm wearing it, I don't notice it. Fantastic. JB from Largo/FL/USA

Not sure as yet since my regular cup size did not fit -was squished and tight. Seems to run small. Liked the color, although I wasn't sure from the photo. In person it really is fun. I am trying another cup size to see if that is better. Luckily there are plenty of choices in size on HerRoom! Not all sites have so many possibilities! Thanks, HerRoom!

Freya Response: Perhaps you're not accustomed to our very ‘specific’ fit. This is a non-compression sports bra, so it needs to fit perfectly in order to be able to give you the support you need, (particularly if you ride!) It’s very easy to “cheat” the fit with ‘compression’ garments, as the cups are usually stretcher than ours, therefore more forgiving of improper fit, and not as supportive! You mustn’t be afraid to go up one, or even two cup sizes, remember we’re somewhat of a ‘European’ fit. When you find the correct size, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this bra. This bra is so supportive, and comfy, not to mention the ‘wicking’ properties which whisk that pesky moisture away. This one really works! rasp from maryland

This is a new favorite for me! I've worn the Moving Comfort Maia for some time and love it, but decided to try the Freya Active this time. I love how snug the band is and that it looks like a regular bra with shape. I might even wear it during the day too. I wear a 34F in my every day bra (Le Mystere,) but needed a 34DD in the Freya to hold me firmly. I'm a vigorous exerciser and ride the bike too so I need a firm hold. Love it. I LOVE this sports bra! I decided to try this one after much discomfort while running. This bra minimized the bounce while running and made it a much more enjoyable experience! It also eliminated the "uni boob" look that I always get with my other sports bras. I will definitely be buying some more! Sheryl from Illinois

It's a great bra! It does make me look pointy. It definitely needs to be broken in. When I first tried it on I thought I had ordered the wrong size. Once I wore it for a few hours it began to relax and now it's a perfect fit. Magdalena from San Diego, California

This bra offers serious support for hi-bounce activities. But, I would agree with the previous post that it is uncomfortable and creates a 'cone-bra' shape. The sewn edges of the bra and actually chafe when I twist it around to put it on.

Freya Response: The band is quite snug on this bra helping to achieve “extreme support”. We’ve found that with washing and wearing the bra relaxes, softens and conforms to the natural shape of the breast. Anna from Philadelphia PA

Seemed like a nice bra, unfortunately the size was a bit small in the band and cup so I am waiting for the exchange from a 34H to a 36H. I think it is so wonderful that Freya makes a sports bra in my size & can't wait for the larger size to arrive. Kat from San Jose/Ca/USA

This bra gives great support but is not comfortable and creates a terrible shape.

Freya Response: What can I say; this is our #1 selling Freya bra; once in awhile we find it’s not the bra for everyone -- Betty

This bra made me look like I had pointy breasts. When I put my shirt on, I could see the lines that go across the middle part of the bra. I would not recommend this sports bra.

Freya Response: A lot of times when a bra is “pointy” we suggest you may need to go down a cup size - you are not fully filling out the cup. Misty from Frisco, TX

I've been struggling to find support for very heavy breast tissue and narrowish rib cage (measures 33, but use band width 34 of course.) This is it! I'll even live with the seams and the slight point projection -- I think of it as retro look -- because this is comfortable, secure, and lifts these heavy loads... Love the red color, too! Fantastic sports bra! I also own the Panache Superbra, which is comfy in its own way (sort of like a heavily padded halter top), but this bra wins the prize for being a completely effective sports bra while not being any larger than a normal bra! It does push your breasts out left-and-right, but this effect doesn't seem to show once it's under clothing. And it gives great support; the wide, tight band helps remind me to sit up straight, too! The color scheme and the cut look more like clothing than underwear; it wouldn't be too embarrassing to wear by itself for a summer jog. Anne from PA

Though the bra makes me look a little "pointy" I'll take that as a trade off for good support while running. I usually have to double up to get enough support and I can wear this solo. I ran a half marathon in this baby and the girls didn't get chaffed and I was comfortable. I had almost given up hope of finding a sports bra but this one is great...cute too. Only other thing was the color. Mine isn't red, it's a deep pink. Tiffany from Modesto,CA, USA

Outstanding bra. THIS is how they should all be made. The world of lingerie should stand up and take note. This bra is not only great for running (its intended use), but my posture is so much better now that I just had to start wearing it to the office. I will be ordering lots more soon. It would be really great to have more colors, like nude and black. (Not that I am not already loving red). :) Sarah from Chapel Hill, NC

OMG, put it on right out of the box, FANTISTIC fit!, the 1-month B/O was worth the wait. Band width is comfortable, hooks are completely covered w/fabric, separation, shoulder straps comfortable, it's all good. The red is a fun color but sure hope the mfg. considers other color options. This bra will be both my gym and every day bra. Just ordered another, big price but the girls are worth it. Been ordering from HerRoom for a long time but this is the first and only time I’ve offered my opinion. R from FC, CO
