Multiple biopsies, bilateral lumpectomies and radiation have left me with what I call "sloppy" breasts so I need a lot of shaping help as well as support. Cups made of stretchy material don't work for me. I need rigid cups that push the flesh around into something resembling a normal breast. After much trial and error, I settled on this and the Fantasie Olivia. These bras have a very different aesthetic than most of what you'd find in mainstream U.S. department stores. The fabrics are less cushy, which I think leads some women to label them uncomfortable or itchy. And the shape they give is very front-and-center. Where many bras I'd worn previously would spread my breasts outward toward my armpits and squash the tops down, this does the opposite. So the Rio and similar styles do take some getting used to, but the results are very worth it. This bra gives me a very secure fit and that translates into confidence and better posture. I actually feel taller! The seams show a bit under clothes, but for me, it's a small tradeoff for this kind of shaping and support. The lace on the Rio lies quite a bit flatter than many others so the piece that shows most often is the vertical seam leading up to the strap. The straps look very thin but to my surprise they don't dig at all, probably because the cups are doing all the work for me. If you've never worn a bra like this, I'd suggest going up at least one, maybe two cup sizes if you are on the fuller side. I have been fitted (four times) as a 36D, but I almost never buy that size. I have this bra and the Olivia in 36E. Kitty from New York

I ordered a 34dd which is usually my size but when I received and tried on the bra their is spillage all over, by my arms, in front, pretty good bra, but this one doesn't fit me, so I will be returning it for a larger size, like 2 sizes larger.... Ellie Mae from Reno, US

Beautiful bra, extremely comfortable. Offers good support to women with heavy breasts. Would definitely recommend this bra. Hope you can offer it in other colors Angela from Barbados

The bra was very simple (not really pretty or sexy but like my other Freya bras) The 36g didn't fit right in the cup, but all the bras that have ever fit me right were Freya, so i think i should have just stuck to my 34g (i thought I had grown a little). Dee from Washington, DC

This is one of my favorite bra's I have 5 of them. They fit great, coverage is great, the lift is so great. I have a size D cup, natural breast and these give the support you need without the pads. I don't like padded bras. I only wish there was a bathing suit top that fit as well! erica from santa clarita california

I have been wearing this bra for 3 years. I love everything about it. I own several and keep updating and rotating them every 6 months- they don't last forever and usually you can tell when it is time to throw out. Jera from TX

Good support. The straps really dig into my shoulders though. Ruth from Portland

This is, hands down, the best bra I own. For years I've struggled to find supportive, non-matronly bras that actually fit my smaller rib cage and lift at the same time. The band stays in place and fits snugly all the way around (no gap in the front or riding up in the back). The only downside is that the stitching shows on thin t-shirt material--a small price to pay for a bra that actually makes you look like you've lost weight. I've gotten around it by wearing camis or just wearing another bra with certain shirts. Laura from Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

This bra is cut well for those of us who have a very large bust with a narrow ribcage, it doesn't flatten or mush together. As of right now it is not my favorite bra, but definitely in my top 3. Meisha from Bellingham, WA, USA

Although it is well made and super supportive, it was just too pointy. I looked like I was going to put someone's eye out. A fitter at Intimacy told me that that would smooth out after I'd worn it and washed it a few times, but when you pay $50 or $60 for a bra, you want it to look good, so I decided to return it.

HerRoom Response: Another option when a bra cup is multi-sectioned like this, is to take it an alteration place and have the seam slightly altered to create the shape you want. Tinyredcar from Athens, Georgia

Very sexy but comfy bra. I was looking for a unique look, and this worked. Try it if you are looking for something to break out of the ordinary, in terms of bras. Great fit as well! Jen from Chicago

I originally purchased this bra locally. I have been wearing this bra for about a year and just received two more from HERROOM. I LOVE this bra. It is so nice to have a moderately low cut bra where my breasts do not bulge out Marie from Guelph Ontario, Canada

Very nice bra, but I returned because the seam showed under my clothes, which tend to be thinner fabrics. I really liked the support it gave. Cris from Calif

This bra is fantastic! As a natural 32F, it's nearly impossible for me to find a pretty, comfortable bra that provides enough support. This bra is a miracle to me! This style fits extremely well and is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Additionally, this has the added benefit of being stylish, sexy and not looking like it was designed for military use. Kudos Freya! You've made a great product. Erin from Seattle, WA

Can I say perfect? I have natural breasts, but this bra just makes them look perfect and perky. It separates and lifts! Hooray! It gives great cleavage, great support, and it's darn pretty. KX from New York, NY

This is an awesome bra for augmented breasts. Quite often, bras for full breasts also assume a large band size, and/or assume you want to be minimized. I am augmented--no way do I want to be minimized! This bra gives you a beautiful shape and fits all around the band, even that difficult-to-fit area underneath the cleavage. I LOVE it! I recently had an augmentation which took me from a 32B/C to a 32F. I have found that an ongoing issue is that often bras that are the correct cup size don't touch your breastbone in the middle, and you will have an uncomfortable gap. Bras for larger cup sizes can be matronly and tend to smoosh and flatten your breasts. I love the Freya brand because it fits very well and gives you a youthful, attractive appearance, and the Rio bra is no exception. It is really a full coverage bra. It covers you up, shapes beautifully, and there is no band gap under your cleavage. This is an awesome bra, especially if you have a small band/large cup. Erin from Dallas, Texas, USA

This is the best bra i ever had, however, I wish I could wear it without straps. I know that it can hold my breast without straps, but I can not take them off. I thank whoever designed this wonderful bra and ask if it is possible to have new ones that we can take the straps off if we want too. mahsana from montreal Qc, canada

I LOVE THIS BRA. This is the first bra that fits me well and has excellent support. My breasts are set wide and this actually keeps them out of my armpits. This bra gives such a great shape I actually like trying on clothes again. My neighbor even asked me what brand of bra I wear. That is the first time that has ever happened. Robin from West Jordan UT

The Rio is fantastic. Comfortable enough for daily wear and a fun design just for me to know about. ;) It covers a lot of the breast without looking heavy and gives incredible perkiness. In Freya bras I fit in between an F and FF. I purchased an F and it was perfectly sized. If you are in between cup sizes like me I recommend picking the smaller cup for this particular Freya style bra. K' from Austin, Texas
