This bra is adorable in the photos and is SO well-constructed. The 28 band was a great fit. The cups were a good volume. The shape they gave me, however, was another matter - the bra seems to be designed to give you a very pointy shape. One could argue that the shape goes with the overall retro look of the bra, but it's really not my thing. So sad, because it was a good fit and as I said, very well-constructed with sturdy, comfortable material.

I wear a lot of Freya bras, and was surprised by this one. It fit fine, but didn't have enough lift. Very pretty bra, but didn't do anything for the girls. Luckily, Her Room has a wonderful return policy, so there was no hassle getting something that looked better.

Freya Response: Karen, you may find better lift in a Freya “plunge” bra versus a “plunge balcony” bra. The vertical seam on the center of the cup is often longer/taller on our regular “plunge” styles, meaning that this structure continues farther up the breast tissue and provides greater uplift. This is a great bra, cute and comfortable, my only complaint is the shape of the bra. I always buy Freya and have success, but this seems to have excess room in the front of the cup while the lace on the top presses in to create a bulge. I'm not sure if it's the low cut, but Ive never had this problem before; however, it's still fine under most of my clothes and still comfortable. Jessica from Portland

This is one of the few Freya plunge/balcony bras that look and fit as shown in the pictures at GG+ sizes, at least for the narrower bands. I wasn't sure about this bra when I ordered it, partly because of the mesh construction and partly because it seemed to have the troublesome balcony neckline that often tends to cut in or otherwise fit poorly on me. However, it was the bra that fit closest to my current favorite, the Freya Ada plunge, and if not for the mesh material and the slight cutting in on my larger boob I might have kept it. The neckline is more low-cut balcony than plunge, but it still worked well enough that I'd recommend you give it a try. People with top-heavy breasts might want to size up in the cup just in case, since the lace and mesh top isn't very stretchy, and I'll also warn you that the straps are mesh all over, and therefore not very comfortable. As for shape, I didn't pay too much attention to it because of the lack of comfort, but it was similar to the Ada plunge, if slightly higher because of the different fabric and balcony cut. The cup was baggier than other Freya styles I own in the size I typically order. Had to send it back.

With so many cup sizes to choose from your dilemma is easily solved: Just go down in the cup one or as many cup sizes as you need to. I’d recommend you exchange for a Universal Cup Size 32D4.
