I am consistently a 36DD in 'Fantasie' and every other brand and style of bra that I've bought over the past month - Elle McPherson, a different Fantasie balcony, a Bali "Passion for Comfort" bodysuit; ditto a Wacoal "Bodysuede" one; Barbara, Freya, Empreinte, Marie Jo, Lejaby, Aubade, Panache, Caprice, Lise Charmel, Antigel, and Moving Comfort. Same thing with the Chantelle and Le Mystere bras that I already owned: they contain all of me too in my usual size. (I'm 'revising' my underwear drawers this year rather than buying any clothes.) So, I'm shocked that this model is so unsatisfactory on me. Yesterday when I received it and tried it on, I suddenly had flesh and fat protruding out the sides of a bra for the first time in my life. Ugly or what! As best as I can ascertain, the cut of this bra is the problem. I don’t think it’s the fact that it’s molded and unlined that’s causing the problem. It's definitely skimpy on the sides. Also, there are vertical wrinkles on the front of the cups that I can't get rid of by re-positioning my breasts. I've never had that happen before either because I am full and rounded on top. The band fits well and follows the "2-finger" rule. I notice that although this model is called a 'balcony', it doesn't look like one at all! Its shape lacks conviction - and therefore, style - across the top. Instead, it's somewhere between a 'full cup' and a balcony. It's not a demi or 3/4 cup either. The other Fantasie 'balcony' bra I recently bought is a true balcony, has flair and fits perfectly. I'll have to search again for a non-contour, non-padded or foamed, plain molded bra to wear as a T-shirt bra. I will probably try "Wacoal's Bodysuede" line–if I have enough money left to buy it - because I recently bought the bodysuit in that line and the bra part contains all of me. It’s really hard to find a good bra of this type for a reasonable price. Which is a pity for those of us who don’t want to add even ½” to our bustlines; or who are tired of seeing mainly boring ‘foamware’ and shapewear in department stores.
