I was really excited to find a website that sells extended size bras so I did my homework, researched which bra was best for me for hours, and read every single review...only to be highly disappointed when they arrived and none of them fit. I was fitted by a professional bra fitter and told I was a 38F (US) so that is the size I purchased- I ordered the E on this one because of the European conversion that is recommended here. Bra did not fit...at all... not even close, had to return. I give up.

HerRoom Response: US sizing does not come in an F. The best thing to do is to look at our Conversion chart. Vanessa from Dallas, Texas

Except for this bra being pricey, this is the perfect bra for a small woman with a full bust. Laura from Hubbard

I usually wear Thalia by Empreinte' in a 34G which fits great. I decided to give "Fantasie" 4500 molded smooth cup bra a try in the same size but it was at least 2 cups too big, so I returned it. I can't rate it because I didn't get a chance to wear it. The fabric seems durable and I think I would like it just as much as I like the Thalia but i won't know until I receive the smaller cup size. I order 34E in this one and I hope it fits because shipping can be expensive.

HerRoom Response: The cup sizing in Empreinte and Fantasie are different. You would be an F cup in Fantasie. Tasha from Dallas,GA, USA

The beige colored bra is a great fit. The white one was slightly different...the back elastic was more stretching and didn't have the same firmness as the beige bra. Overall this is one of my favorite bras..the style and fit are terrific...could be a bit better with the size consistency between colors and a lining....

Fantasie Response: Thank you for pointing out this inconsistency: We pride ourselves on producing a fabulous product, and this type of information just helps us get better. If there are any modesty concerns, you might want to try some of our molded T-shirt bras: We have lots of great ones to choose from! You would go up a cup size in any of our molded styles (30DDD/E). I was very disappointed in this bra, and I so wanted it to fit! I guess it is partially my fault since I didn't read everything about the bra, and after I received the bra, I went back online to read more about it. That's when I saw that it said the cup sizes ran large. I was recently fitted as a 30 FF in Freya and Fantasie bras, but this bra in 30 FF was swimming on me! It offered absolutely no support. My breasts sagged in this bra and it was baggy on top. I am returning it. I have been looking for the perfect seamless/T-shirt bra "without" padding, and am not having any luck finding anything that gives me the lift and shape I need. All the molded/contour bras with padding flatten and widen my breasts in an unflattering way. In addition, as a 30 FF, I really don't want even 1/8" of padding in my bra. Freya seamed bras seem to fit me pretty well, but you can see the seams under T-shirts, so my search continues for the perfect seamless bra.

Freya Response: If the bra doesn’t fit right it can’t provide support. You could certainly try this bra in a 30F for a great result, and if you absolutely don’t want a foam mold, you might like #4520, a seamless balcony shape which gives a lovely natural shape (you would probably wear a 30FF in this style). Our foam-molded bras are eggshell thin, and don’t add bulk. If you are willing to try a molded bra, you might like Rhiannon 2222, and this bra is a bit more updated and fashionable too. The sweetheart-shaped cup is an easy fit, and works beautifully for most of our customers. They love the subtle Roman script inspired print as well! Allison from Las Vegas

Great bra. I love the full coverage, support and the shaping is great, especially under my T shirts. I only have one complaint - that is with most bras I buy - the straps are not tight enough. I need a little bit more lift. The under wire is never enough for me. I am very heavy on top. However, I love this style bra for me. Pat

When one is as large in the bust, one needs a bra that will hold the weight and not 'crawl up the back'....this bra is very comfortable and looks great! Marcia from Eustis, Florida, USA

I was so happy to find these bras on your website. My Department store no longer carries them. The cup size was perfect but the next time I order them I will go down to a 34 band size. The service from HerRoom was exceptional! I will be back the next time I need bras. Lynn from Kent, WA

I love this bra for a t shirt bra. It provides great support and does not make me look wide or flat across the front. The cup is slightly big in this bra, but not enough to send it back. In a couple weeks I plan to order another one in a FF instead of a G. Lisa from Lawrenceville, IL USA

Fantasie Bra's are the best. The structure and design of the cup are great. Fantasie is, in my opinion, the best choice for women like me, with narrower ribcages and shoulders, but full breasts, and little back fat. Most bra makers assume you need high sides and 5 snaps to hold it all together. Also, I recommend measuring and following the excellent video and directions found on this site in stead of assuming you know your size. It may surprise you. I ordered a size I have never before worn, but it fit. jemije5559 from Buffalo Grove, Il, USA

It's the only bra i've found that actually creates a shape I like, without making me pointy. It's smooth, thin, and comfortable, and looks great under anything. Submitted from TheUndies.com

Even though I had the fit right on this (band snug so it should theoretically have provided most of the support, wires flat against the chest, no "spillage" over the cups), the straps still cut into my shoulders painfully. This wasn't apparent at first, but after I wore it a few hours I had to take it off.

Fantasie Response: Not sure how to address this one, as it sounds like the fit was correct… I wonder if the straps were tightened up too much? (There should be room to slide a finger underneath the strap). Or perhaps the straps were positioned just in the wrong place on your shoulders. The straps on 4500 are “center pull” (coming from the center of the cup, in line with the nipple). Most of our customers love this, as it provides more support than straps kicked out to the side, but maybe in your case you would prefer straps positioned more out to the side....FYI, 4500 runs a full cup size larger than 4520. This bra fits perfectly! The material is a little rough and slightly scratchy but I think it will soften with wear. The cups will not hide nipples so not something I'd wear with a T-shirt, though. Great fit though and comfortable despite the material. Milvia from New Hampshire, USA

This is a good bra. I like the shape and support but am not wild about the material. It's just the slightest bit rough to the touch. However, it is not in anyway uncomfortable. A good purchase for a little less money. scoutrames from CA

I originally ordered this bra with a 34 band and it was too loose. The 32 is wonderful, and the cup size is perfect. Obviously, I am a hard to fit gal and this bra is the best fitting bra that I have worn in many years. While it is not particularly feminine, I'll take fit and comfort any day! Maggie

Very comfortable, everyday bra. Thinner lining, so nipples do show through, but all in all, I would be again for the comfort. No spillage over top for me. Great. valerie from campbell, ca

This was the 5th bra in this style I have purchased. They fit nicely and wash and wear great. The local stores only carry white and nude, so it was nice being able to add black to my color pallette. Customer service was very responsive to questions and concerns and shipping was very quick. Will definitely be back for more. Diane from Grants Pass, OR, USA

This is my first time trying the Fantasie Molded Smooth Cup Bra (4500) as for the past 5 years or so I've been buying the Fantasie Smoothing Underwired Balcony Bra (4520), however lately with the 4520 I've been finding some spillage over the top of the cups which doesn't look good under t-shirts and tight shirts. Thought I would try the 4500 because of the fuller coverage. I find it has great support and I don't have to worry about anything "falling out." My only complaint is that I wish the straps could be tightened more. I have to tighten the straps a lot so when this bra gets a little older and I have to start tightening the band and the straps I'm not going to have much leeway. I was professionally fitted for the 4520 in a 30F and ordered this in a 30F and 30FF and the 30F was a better fit, the 30FF was too big in the cups.

Fantasie Response: Spillage over the top of the cup indicates the need to go up at least one cup size (which sounds like you did); note 4500 runs one full cup size larger than Fantasie 4520 so if you are a 30F in 4520, you would need a 30E in 4500. Mary from Ithaca, NY, USA

I wore this bra almost exclusively for years. I ordered a new one to replace mine that have worn out and I was completely suprised by how the fit of this bra on me has changed. Perhaps there is some way that I could change the size that I would wear in this style now, but I don't see how it would ever fit. Seems to run larger in the underwire size (how big around the bottom it is) and cup size and come up further in the front. I also ordered the Elomi and it fites really well. More like how the 4500 used to fit me. Could be old age but my new favorite is the Elomi.

Elomi Response: I'm guessing the elomi bra you ordered was style 3911. The 3911 gives great support and has a side “sling” that 4500 does not. The side sling helps to bring the breast tissue in on from under the underarm area to give a great, lifted support. Ann from Southwest, US

The cups on this bra were far to stiff but the back fit right where it was supposed to. Bras are hit or miss and for me, this one was a miss.

Fantasie Response: First there is not an “I” cup in this bra; there are no UK “I” cups; 4500 has a big support job to do and needs to be a “firm” (even though I would not call it stiff). - Betty

Kiki might have purchased this bra in a UK 36G, as a UK G-cup is equivalent to a U.S. I-cup… perhaps Kiki’s more accustomed to wearing a “stretchier” cup with plenty of give… As Betty points out, the 4500 has a big support job to do, and therefore we do not recommend stretchy cups which allow the breast tissue to droop over the wire. A firm cup will support and lift, giving a higher (and perkier) silhouette. - Freddy Kiki from Atlanta
