Pretty fabric, but again I am not sure who designs this stuff! As a large breasted woman the lower the gusset the less "entrapped" I feel. I am already wearing a lot of fabric. This bra sort of created a flat-ish effect and the gusset would not lay flat. I am currently wearing a 38 GG and the gusset sits back where it should be. I wanted just a little more cup room and this sort of became a mono-boob within 2 minutes of wearing it around the house. Too bad they can't create a minimizer that makes a natural shape, has a low gusset, comfortable straps, no padding, and enough height on the side panels to control any overage.

Fantasie Response: The Esme is not a minimizer bra, but as like most seamless bras it does minimize more than a seamed bra. Please refer to Tomima's 3-steps to a fabulous fit to be sure you are in the correct size. If the gusset does not lay flat and you have overage on the sides the cup is definitely too small which means you are a 38HH (D8) or J (D10) depending on how much spillage you had in the 38H (D9). There are very limited styles in your size that are offered in smooth cups. The elomi Hermione bra 8120 is available in a 38HH (D8) cup which might be an option for you. Very high quality, full coverage and no jiggle. The cups are of a fabric similar to the Smoothing collection balcony bra but thicker. The narrower strap placement in the back really works to keep the straps from slipping off the shoulders. On the negative side, I find that the shaping is slightly more flattened out rather than the forward-rounded I'm accustomed to with Fantasie/Freya. This seems to result in less side-support/shaping. (You can kind of see the pancake effect in the photos.) The band sizing seems normal for them but the cups seem ever so slightly generous. I'm still more fond of the Freya Deco for shaping in GG cups. Mrs. C.

This is a very comfortable bra that reminds me of a minimizer a little bit because it doesn't lift the breasts but exactly what I need when I am wearing button down shirts and need my breasts a little more on the "flatter" side. This bra has replaced my Wacoal minimizer bra and fits much better for my small frame Renee from New York

Beautiful bra but it just didn't work for me. Not sure if it's the cup style or if I need a different size in this brand but the fit was off. I've tried several different Fantasie bra styles and had to return them all because the fit of the cups wasn't quite right. I also didn't find the shape flattering. This was just horrible. I'm expecting a 34H. I didn't know I was getting what seems to be a DD. Not only was this way too small, but there was no support. You can tell it's a very soft, stretchy bra. Not what I was expecting at all. Jessa from Georgia,US

This Bra is great! But you may want to order the cup size one larger as I found it to be a bit tight compared to the other Fantasie Bra's I own. Fantasie Esme (2471) has changed my life! I'm a voluptuous gal (36G to be exact) with breasts that were moving ever more South, and narrow shoulders. I've spent most of my adult life literally wrestling with my bras: Bands riding up, straps slipping down ...I was always busy with my bras when I should have been busy with other things! Nothing looked right nothing felt right... Then Esme came into my life! My breasts are now Northerly (and not Southerly)! This bra is perfectly smooth, without adding any bulk. It's all me but better! And oh joy the straps are centered and not out to the sides. It's the first time ever my straps stay on my shoulders, even when I'm washing the dog! Mornings are easy now, I know I can wear this bra under anything -without even thinking about it...even sleeveless tops. Best of all I feel gorgeous, and I feel good! I love this bra! I've tried many different Fantasie styles, and while none are perfect for me, they're better than most others. In general the underwires don't poke under the arm, the shapes are natural looking, and the straps can be shortened enough. All their styles have advantages and disadvantages. The big advantage of this one: the straps do not slip down over my shoulders during the day due to the placement of the attachment points in back. It's also smooth enough to wear under knits. Disadvantages: the shape is a bit "east-west" rather than "up and forward"--certainly no worse than a lot of other bras, but not as uplifted as the Fantasie 4520. Also, I wish Fantasie used wider straps and 3 or 4 rows of hooks instead of two on all their bras. And a minor quibble--I don't care for the shadow-stripe fabric. In contrast, the straps on the 4510 and 4520 constantly slip down; the 4500 has a thick seam on the straps that digs into my shoulders painfully; the 4520 puckers a bit at the upper outer edges of the cups; and the 4510 has a shape not quite as flattering as the 4520. So for me, the perfect bra would have the shape of the 4520; strap placement of the 2471; slightly more rigid cups (somewhere between the 4510 & 4520); wider straps; and 3-row hooks. If Fantasie will make it, I'll buy it. And if it's good, I'll buy it in multiples. Twocoasts

Most of my bras are Fantasie and Freya, and I've owned many styles. But this one did not work for me. The cups seem shallower than other Fantasie bras in the same size. (I wear a 30GG or H in Fantasie and Freya, depending on the bra. I tried this one in H.) It felt more like a minimizer and produced a flattened silhouette that I didn't care for. I'll stick with my Fantasie 4510 for a seamless look.

I wear this Fantasie bras almost exclusively so I'm pretty certain of my size. That being said this bra fit small in the cups for me. I also found it a little plain looking, though I think it would be good under t shirts or more sheer tops. I returned it.

Nice bra, I just couldn't get the right fit. I tried 34GG (too small in the cup) and 34H (too large in the cup) and just couldn't find the right fit. I think Elomi bras fit me better. Too bad because it is a nice looking bra. HappyKat from San Jose/California/USA

This is a great bra. It feels different on your back since it has the no slip straps, but, as someone who fiddles with straps all day long, it is great to not have to. The nude color is light enough to wear with white and I plan to buy another nude and black version.
