I was shocked to find a sports bra that was (1) underwire and (2) actually in my size. It supports well, but the first wear was a little painful. But I expect that to ease as I wear it more. This sounds kind of sad, but I felt at ease for the first time ever to actually run around with my son at the park, without bouncing around all over the place! HTowery from Austin, TX US

Worn this once, still a little more bounce than I was hoping for but overall a very comfortable bra. I stayed dry and did not feel like I had to run out of the gym to get it off. The band runs a little large so depending how you like the band to fit you may want to size down. ruralmama from Ohio

I was excited to get this bra but when it came and I tried it on, it was immediately clear it wasn't going to work for me. The bra looks awesome and I wish it fit so I could keep it but I am sending it back to exchange for a different sports bra. I have large chest and very dense breasts so finding a sports bra that keeps everything in place is difficult and this bra allowed for too much motion. It was just an awkward fit on me and the bra rubbed/poked at the front of my underarm. So I will exchange for a Freya sports bra which I know will fit and keep everything in place.

Elomi Response: It’s difficult to analyze why this bra doesn’t work for you without seeing you in the bra. You mention it rubbed at the front of the underarm which would indicate that you might need a smaller cup, or even a different frame. Not every bra is for everybody, and it might well be the Freya sports bra is indeed a better style for you. It could also be you’re not placing your breast tissue into the bra properly, which is just as important as finding the correct size and style. Brenda from Phx, AZ

This is a great workout bra. It doesn't compress you, but gives the support that you need to feel confident as a large busted lady to work out. I have 4 of these bras and I wouldn't be without them. Thanks Elomi for supporting the needs of full busted women to exercise. Sandy from Richmond, VA

I used to love this bra. It fit and supported well. So I ordered more when I needed to replace them. What I found was that the stretch material in the back of the bra had changed. It was much lighter weight and less supportive than the material in the first bras I had ordered (a couple of years ago). So now the material in the back curls and cuts into me. Very uncomfortable. This bra is too tight for me; I usually wear Elomi bras and will keep this one and use it even though it is tight. Too much trouble to send it back as I NEED it for exercising. Karen from San Mateo, Ca.

the lift & comfort of this bra was excellent, but the cup size didn't quite cover upper breast area. Should have returned it for a larger size, but when I have tried that in the past, triple D's were too large. Will wear it, but not with clingy t-shirts. glofer2rn from waukegan,il usa

This bra was a big disappointment. It is very uncomfortable, the material is stiff and scratchy, the sides are too large compared to other bras of the same size. Also overpriced - there is nothing about this bra that warrants such a high price. I suffered it for a whole day, so I couldn't return it.

Elomi Response: We’re so sorry you were disappointed with this bra. I was also quite surprised because generally speaking we hear nothing but raves for our Energize sports bra… Energize is a “non-compression” sports bra which means it must fit properly to do the job. The fabrication is a non-stretch micro-fiber with moisture management properties. Energize is designed for ultimate motion control and maximum support, therefore the sides might be built up a bit more than you’re used to in a regular bra. The cups are meant to fully encapsulate the breast tissue to prevent ALL bounce. …It’s often an incorrect size –rather than the style –which makes a bra uncomfortable… And as always it’s so important to “swoop-and-scoop” all of your breast tissue into the cups for comfort and support. I have been having a very hard time finding a bra that provides support, fits correctly and is comfortable...this bra fills all of that and more. I wear it as an everyday bra & it shapes & lifts nicely. I'm not sure how supportive it would be as a sports bra...it's original purpose...but it is great otherwise. Jen from Ellsworth, Maine USA

This bra is outstanding. I have tried many bras that never quite seem to cover my entire breast. I am small underneath but have a large cup size and this bra does everything it is supposed to and more. I have tried ordering other bras from HerRoom but I always return and exchange for this bra. It is a must have for larger cup sized woman. Thank you so much HerRoom. I finally found a bra that is for me! Cindy from San Francisco, Ca

at first, I felt this was a great bra--then the underwire started poking me on the side of my breast, by the end of the day, after continuous poking, I was ready to scream. I stopped buying Goddess because the underwire was poking me, and now I have to add Elomi on to the list of will not buy because the underwire pokes thru.

Elomi Response: It’s difficult to say what the problem might be without actually seeing the bra on you. There are a number of reasons why the under-wire might “poke” you, but usually it’s because you’re in the incorrect size.

1) You’ve got to get the cup and band exactly right in order for the bra to be able to do its job. Elomi and Goddess are very fit-specific brands which is what gives you that wonderful lift and support. If the size is wrong, the under-wire can press into sensitive breast tissue in just the wrong place –very painful!

2) I hope you’re putting the bra on properly, making sure to bring all of the breast tissue in front of the under-wire into the cups. The under-wire should surround and support the breast tissue resting behind the breast on the rib-cage.

3) It might be that you have a petite upper torso (very little room from the underside of the breast to the shoulder). An under-wire can be too high under the arm and cause extreme discomfort there. Many women just prefer a soft cup bra with no under-wires to worry about: For example Elomi offers the Caitlyn 8033 in the Caitlyn collection, a fashionable, pretty alternative to an under-wire bra. linda from livonia mi

Thank you, HerRoom, so much for carrying this bra in smaller band sizes! Some stores do not. I am about to start a kick boxing class, I know I still have some back fat, and I am concerned about what bra I will wear if I drop a band size. I love this bra! As another reviewer pointed out, this bra's support really is in its very comfy construction! I only wish it came in more colors, and that several more would magically appear in my dresser drawer! Failing that, I will buy more and try Elomi's other bras of this, similar construction. I know the Caitlyn not only comes in 34HH, in various colors, but it also appears to have this 4 part bra cup construction! For other full busted women out there, this bra in 34HH fits exactly like Panache Tango II full cup in the same size! I hope Elomi makes more of this style, in smaller band sizes, and large cup sizes. Thank you HerRoom and Elomi! Anne from South River NJ

Quality is excellent. However, there is very little bounce control in this size range. I am learning to run for the first time in my 41 years (5'1" & 230 lbs). My breasts are heavy, hang fairly low and sweat a great deal underneath. My impression is the elastic straps and bands allow too much flexibility. I wonder if this bra would not be better in a long-line tank-top style with wider, padded straps and compression back, sides and torso. The cups need more lift, wicking and breath-ability to minimize the dampness. Again - EXCELLENT QUALITY!! CASSANDRA from WASHINGTON, DC

This may sound hokey, but this bra has given me hope. I am in the process of losing weight and I needed a more challenging cardio routine. I tried with other sports bras, but it actually hurt when I did anything bouncy. This is by far the most comfortable, supportive sports bra I have ever owned. So much so that I have considered wearing this as a regular bra. It is flattering and doesn't give you the "uniboob" that most sports bras do. As I go down in size, I will continue to buy smaller versions of this bra. Kristin from Paw Paw, Michigan

I bought this bra 2 weeks ago & it's great for running. My only complaint with this bra is that the seams are itchy on the straps. I've washed it a couple times & it's still itchy not sure if this will go away or not. Haley from Mooresville, NC

Wow. This is really the best bra I have ever found to do high impact. Running, horseback riding ... you name it and this bra will keep the girls where they should be. It lifts and separates comfortably. I especially liked the fact I can adjust the straps more so than with other bras. The way I am built the distance from the shoulders to breasts is shorter than most apparently because other bra straps don't adjust as much as I need them to. THIS ONE DOES! If I HAD to name a downfall -- seams are very obvious under shirts. Small price to pay. It doesn't poke, pinch, rub in the armpit, and the material is comfortable. I purchased one ... the trial bra; now I have five. This is really the best option for someone my size. Erica from Mi

I always feels secure when wearing this bra. I never have to "adjust" or worry about the dreaded "double boob" on top. Love this for working out and often wear it running around with my 2 year old....I totally recommend this if you are looking for full coverage and support...shapely too! Leah from Chicago
