Very comfortable bra. The bottom band runs small, which is a good thing because I actually wear a 32, but have to go up to a 34 because bra makers just don't make bras to fit and support "natural" girls this size in a 32. I've worn this style for a few years now, and they do hold up well. The only thing that could be better is the material the wings and back band are made of. It is too thin/soft and the band rolls up at the bottom. After a while, even the hook and eye area begins rolling up - which translates into time to buy new bras. Overall though, a good, comfortable, everyday bra. Nancy from Georgia

Even though technically I had to buy a smaller size than I would have preferred, it's still comfortable. Submitted from TheUndies.com

A professional bra consultant in an independent store put me in this bra style 6 years ago. I wear it as an "everyday bra". It truly is very comfortable. My breasts basically start under my armpit - the underwire COMFORTABLY surrounds the breast under my arm .. no gouging or pinching. Was thrilled to find it at HerRoom, as the cost is less than the independent store. Paulette from Jefferson City, MO, USA

I needed to find a bra I could wear at work. Since I'm a nurse I needed something that would support me while running, bending over beds, moving people etc. so I started looking at sports bras. This bra worked great at first however the band in the back constantly rolls up and I'm having to adjust the "girls" all the time. Since the bra did not stay in place the wires would poke me whenever the band would roll up. Now I'm back on here trying to find another option. If you need to wear this bra for more then a couple hours I do not suggest it.

Elomi Response: Angela Thank you for trying Elomi Energise EL8040 sport bra. If your band is riding up, 36 is the incorrect band size. Please adjust to a 34 band. In addition, It might be that you’re not adjusting your breast tissue into the cups properly: Be sure to “swoop and scoop” your breast tissue from the back to the front into the cups. The back end of the under-wire should sit behind the breast tissue on your rib cage. This will make all the difference in how the bra fits, and most of all how it feels. I love this sports bra! The underwire is wonderfully supportive, but is shorter than a regular bra so it keeps from poking you as you move. I love that I found a sports bra in my actual bra size, and I find that I can even breathe better as I workout because I am not trying to squeeze into multiple bras of the wrong sizes. I also do find that the material does keep me in place like it's supposed to but, on the other hand, it is quite hard to hook behind your back. Katie from Chicago, IL, USA

This bra is surprisingly comfortable given that the largest band size available is one size smaller than I have been wearing and I was expecting a tight fit anyway because it's a sports bra. The movement control is not as I was hoping. Even gentle jumping allows bounce so I am not sure the control would be enough for women horseback riding, running, volleyball, etc. The fabric seems very breathable although I haven't had the chance to test its moisture-wicking performance yet. The wires do not poke and tacking is good. I could wish for a little more coverage and support in the underarm area but that may be a factor of having to order a slightly smaller size. One of the most comfortable bras I've ever worn. I decided to try it after falling in love with the elomi Caitlyn bra, and I definitely am not disappointed. I think this one is more comfortable than the Caitlyn in some ways and plan to use it for daily wear as well as workouts. A'ishah from Lawrence, KS USA

I'm all for "separation", but I don't want the girls pushed under my arms. I already feel top heavy and this bra maximzes I feel like. Not a Fan from Milwaukee, WI

Great bra for working out! Keeps them in place. No pain when I run and do any kind of aerobic exercise. Highly recommend for us larger busted ladies. :D Christine from Marco, FL USA

By far, my favorite sports bra. Keeps the girls high, supported and separate (No uniboob!). I have wide set breasts and the division is great and doesn't smash them down so they get pushed to the range of motion of my armpits. Love the sleek look so much that I often wear this bra with my dress clothes. It has a high stance on the chest due to the full coverage cups but that's what helps to hold you in and decrease top boob jiggling with movement. I like it! Rochelle from US

Holds you in place well. sturdy, not as round as the elomi t-shirt bras but not an unacceptable shape, a lot of fabric in front of underarm, runs a bit small in the band, I like it tight so using an extender one notch out till it stretches a bit. seems like it needs a wider band in the back, the back slides up a little and it curls up a bit. Otherwise seems like a keeper! Mary from Salem

I bought this to be an everyday bra, not a sports bra, and it doesn't disappoint. It's very silky-feeling and stretches well with movement. I feel held in place and supported, but not compressed or smooshed, as with typical sports bras. The only negative (which really isn't so much of a negative if you're using it as a sports bra) is that it comes up very high on the chest, so you can't wear anything with a bit of a low neckline. Definitely go down a cup size, as it runs big. I'm glad I read the tips at the bottom, and I'm very glad Her Room lists sizes to include the universal cup size. I had no returns this time around! I would like more lift. I have worn this bra before and it is wonderful but I found the Elomi 8032 provided stability and lift. If you don't need the lift this is a great bra. Lynn from MIAMI OK

I never liked under wire because the wire jabbed into my arm pits until I put this bra on. It is fantastic. Very comfortable, enough to wear all the time and it holds the big girls up where they should be. I've never bought an expensive bra before, but there is a huge difference between an $18 bra & this bra. Well worth the price. Chris from Michigan, USA

I absolutely LOVE these bras. I had purchased one several years ago and the store went out of business and no one in this area seems to handle hard-to-fit people any longer. I've waited YEARS to get another one and finally did a search for Elomi and found your website. These fit wonderfully and help me stand up so much straighter! I bought 1 in every color! This didn't pass the jumping jack test so I returned it. I need more support for my exercise classes.

Elomi Response: Cathy- How unfortunate that Elomi 8040 didn't work for you. Please make sure that you're selecting the correct bra size by consulting The Herroom Bra Fitting Advice Page. It offers excellant advise on fitting and buying a bra. Cathy from Wisconsin

Her Room's Bra Fitting Center helped me select this bra and my correct size. It does everything a bra is supposed to do. Provides support to my rather large girls with no pulling of the straps. The center piece sits squarely on my chest wall. It is smooth under a shirt, and it is supportive. Great bra! Joni from Fort Wayne, IN, United States

fit was good but doesn't seem to work like what I think a sports bra should; more like a daily bra; did NOT stop bouncing.

Elomi Response: Kim- Please consider adjusting the shoulder strap on Elomi 8040 to give a snug lift, additional support and help eliminate movement. When first wearing a new bra, it should be on its loosest fastening position. The snuggness of the band, especially with a sports bra is vital to good support. Kim from Louisiana
