I really wanted to like this bra. In general it is pretty comfortable. I like the wide, comfortable shoulder straps and how the whole thing snugs close to me. Two problems are that the underwires poke my underarms, and worse, by about the middle of the day I started getting blisters or some kind of wound under the band, just behind my arm, on one side. I am wondering if the band is too small, so I'm going to re-order with a bigger band/smaller cup. I'm just worried that will only accentuate the underwire poking problem. I may try the 8060 as well, to see if the demi-cup works better on my shorter frame.
You’re correct so often it’s the size not the style which causes discomfort. It’s also just as important to put the bra on properly as it is to find the correct style and size. (Please refer to Tomima’s 3 Steps to a Fabulous Fit
to help you). It’s also important that the band is snug enough to stay parallel to the floor, and doesn’t ride up. If the band is too loose, it will move around your torso, and this is what can cause chafing and blistering. You might like a band-less style like our Abi (EL8100). Abi has a lower center gore than EL8030, and the wires are a slightly lighter gage – lighter construction all round.
