elomi Cleo Underwire Bandless Bra el8001 Reviews

This bra is everything I had hoped it would be - comfortable, attractive, and perfect for everyday wear. Being short-waisted with very round, large breasts and wanting something age-appropriate for a 27 year old makes finding bras very difficult for me. This bra is low enough cut in the front that I can wear age-appropriate shirts with it, it is cute and extremely comfortable. The only issue that I had with it is that it tends to shift so that the underwire comes up in the armpit at a slightly uncomfortable angle, but a quick adjustment resettles it to a more comfortable position and it is likely that my unique breast-shape has more to do with this than any flaw in the actual bra itself. I'm a nursing mother, and have an unusual size to find good nursing bras. So, I bought this, and added clasps. It worked really well! Regarding the bra as-is, the fit is great. The band rolls on me, but I think I may be more suited for a banded bra. I need to keep the elastic tight to keep enough support for my breasts. Also, the underwire comes pretty high under my pits, but is tolerable. Perhaps I need one that doesn't go so high. I just don't wear it every day. I am definitely going to purchase some other Elomi's, as I think I have found a new favorite! Renee from WI

Bra is to wide on me. I' am a big women, but the bra wraps to far under my arm pits. I went from a size 40G to the 38F because of weight loss. The 40G I had fit good.

Elomi Response: #8001 (Cleo) should work for you. Cleo is designed not to come up too high under the arm pits, as it’s cut lower at the center front, and under the arm. It sounds as if this could be a size issue, and not a style issue: Perhaps you’re still not in the correct size? This bra is nothing short of amazing! I'm short-waisted and this bra accommodates me perfectly. Many underwire bras end up jabbing me in the armpit but not this one. I only wish it came in more colors and/or laces. Lynda from United States

I own another Elomi bra, and that particular model's underwires cut into my underarms and the lower band keeps curling up. It was suggested that I try Elomi 8001. I have been wearing it for a week now, and although the underwire issue is solved, the same thing keeps happening with the band around the bottom. It's driving me crazy to the point where I need to jump ship on Elomi and try another manufacturer. I figured it was too small, but I have it on the outer-most hooks, and it is still rolling up. Fantasie bras never did this to me, so I may be going back to Fantasie or other brands at this point.

Elomi Response: Susan, I know how annoying it can be when that band curls up! Sometimes it just can’t be helped when it’s being forced up by a “fluffy bit” around the waist area. Or maybe the Elomi band is curling up because it’s simply too wide for your torso (especially if you’re short-waisted). Just so you know, Fantasie bands are slightly narrower than the Elomi bands, and you might want to give these Fantasie styles a try: Elodie 2182 , or our brand new addition to the Fantasie family, Karina #2452 . Well...it was cute but totally not a "Full Figure" bra. I usually wear a 38G so I got the 38F like the chart says...I was spilling out all over the place. Not a pretty sight LOL But I'm exchanging it for another Elomi but diff Bra. We will see what happens.

Elomi Response: #8001 is plungey and bandless, and runs a bit smaller than some of our fuller coverage styles. If, as you say, you find you’re ‘spilling out all over the place’ just go up in the cup as much as you need. #8001 goes up to an H cup, so lots of size options to choose from! meli from mesa, az, usa

I LOVE this bra! I got this in Black and it is lovely. I was a little wary of purchasing a bra on-line from a brand I'd never tried before but I have fallen in love with Elomi. It fits better than any bra I've ever worn. It's comfortable and of great quality. There are seams across the cups but they are very subtle and I wear the bra under T-shirts with no problems (IE unsightly lines). I will definitely be ordering another of these bras in Nude and more styles from Elomi. Oh! When my husband saw me in this...he said "Very nice, very pretty", which is a rare compliment for a plus size bra! I love it! Kerry from USA

The most go to bra I've ever owned. It is just so comfortable - surprisingly I'd expected some of the other bras I ordered to be the "comfort daily" bras - but low and behold its this Elomi. It also has a minimizing effect though it doesn't state that. I've had some of these bras give me a huge "dolly parton" look that I don't want, so its quite nice this doesn't do that. kathy from ill

I've never written a review for anything but I felt the need to here. I've been searching quite a long time for comfortable and supportive bra. This is it. When I first saw it I had my reservation because I usually like seamless however, I'm very, very pleased. I'm tall w/a pretty narrow band size. I plan to order more. Would love to see other colors. Very comfy! The lower sides and front actually sit against my chest with no gapping when I sit. I believe this is the first bra Ive ever tried that has fit like this. I usually wear a 44 DD, but it fit too comfy in the middle row, so I tried 42 E and it fits like a dream. Love the lower neckline but I had to return it because it digs in under my breasts leaving red marks. The seams show under most fabrics. Wish they would make a seamless version of the Elomi Cleo #8000 with a lower neckline......THAT would be a PERFECT bra!!

Wish it had side support like the banded style. Leaves big red marks under my bustline Don't know if that's because it's bandless? Also, the wires sometimes poke me under my arms.

Elomi Response: We have elomi style 1221 that comes in a 42FF that has a GREAT low plunge with a LOT of “push” from the sides; the other alternative is elomi style 1220 in a 42G. it is seamless but not as low as style 1221. cjsinny from Yonkers, NY

I previously bought the Cleo 8000 which I love, but decided to get this as I want something a little lower cut for wearing under deeper V necklines. It's absolutely perfect! It doesn't hold quite as firm as the 8000, but the centre front is about an inch lower, which is just what I need. Jean from Boston
