The large was true to size and as expected. If I desire to have the thong fall higher to my waist, I would have chosen the x-large. For some items of clothing I like undergarments sitting higher to my waist. Having a fuller front, I would always prefer thongs to be a bit wider from the crotch towards the front panel. A 1/4" to 1/2" would be good no matter how small someone is. I really like Elle Macpherson undergarments; I feel sexy. They are also functional and can be wore daily.
