The material seemed very scratchy. Cups way too big.

HerRoom Response: On Elila softcup styles we suggest going up a band down two cups for just the right fit. Linda from Madison, WI USA

Seemed comfortable at first but cheaply made. Lace left scars from rubbing where straps meet cups. Do not buy!!!

Elila Response: The elila style 1305 has a moveable pad that can be pulled over the strap closure to give additional comfort & cushion which will reduce any irritation. Heidi from Coeur D'Alene

After reading so many glowing reviews, I was hoping this would be the bra for me. Unfortunately, it is not. The lack of an underwire made me feel unsupported, "droopy" and unattractive. My husband had the same reaction. I had raised welts between my breasts, and on my sides from the band rolling up and rubbing. It took days for the welts to heal, and in the meantime, I had to "let the girls run free", which is emotionally uncomfortable for me outside of my home. The color is beautiful and true to the picture. I liked the 5-hook set up in the back, and the padded shoulder pads/straps, however, the excess strap kept coming out of its slot, so I sewed the whole thing in place. The top two "eyes" are about to fall out, and the top hook fell out 2 weeks ago. I purchased this bra in August 2015 and it's December2015, so the craftmanship is substandard. My search for a COMFORTABLE, WEAR ALL DAY, plus-size bra continues.

Elila Response: Always wash your bras before wearing them to remove any finishes. If the bra band is moving around while you wear it go down a band size and up a cup. Be sure to have at least 3 bras in your wardrobe to give each one time to recover from wearing. One to wear, one to wash and one to rest. BaileyP from CO

Took a chance and placed an order for this bra which took nearly two weeks to arrive which was not the fault of Her Room ait was posted right away the day the order was placed. I live in the U.K. Being large busted it is very hard to find a good fitting bra this one ticks all the boxes. My tip in regards to size is to go up one size from what you normally wear. There was a label for returns included but thankfully I will not need it. I did have to pay £14 extra to customs and the post office to get the bra so for anyone placing an order from the U.K take that into consideration. I am very happy with the bra and service. Band seemed to run a size too small. Made my breasts look very pointy. I returned this bra and ordered something else. Might work for someone else, but it wasn't comfortable for me.

HerRoom Response: We suggest going up a band and down two cup sizes in all Elila softcup styles. Kristen from Lubbock, Texas

I only gave this a 1 because the last time I ordered this bra it fit perfect and super comfy. This time it is to small in the cup and around my bust. Then again my old ones are broke in and these are new so maybe the old ones have stretched. When returning they are quick and easy so I'm not to worried. I just hope its right this time. Christie

Bought this in black, beige, red & lavender when I was told I could not wear my underwire bras after lumpectomy. On the plus side, it does fit and provides support (other non-wired bras tend to hang the “girls” at half-mast). The adjustable straps with lockdown buckles and generous shoulder pads that prevent slippage are a wonderful feature. But minuses are: excess strap length has to be tucked in (where it could irritate) or cut; the strap buckles tend to leave an impression in my skin and irritate; and the lining--especially the nonwoven fabric of the support sling (sort of like the non-hook half of Velcro) is very scratchy.

Elila Response: The elila strap length can be trimmed after you find the best adjusted length for your fit. Sandy from Chicago, IL USA

First off, this bra was HUGE. I would have needed to go down at least one, probably two, cup sizes in order for this to fit. (For reference, this is the size I wear in Fantasie and Freya and I wear one cup size larger in Panache.) I ordered this bra looking for something comfortable to put on when I get home on the days I just can't deal with underwire anymore. This bra was definitely not that, even if it had fit. The fabric wasn't soft and felt almost plastic-y on the inside of the cups and the edges of the seams were a little rough. I imagine that this could work for you if you're getting it for the cushioned straps and something supportive without underwire (although, to be honest, I couldn't even keep it on long enough to assess support), then it might work for you. If you're just looking for something comfortable for the end of the day, I'd keep looking.

HerRoom Response: On the Elila softcup styles we suggest going up a band and down two cups for just the right fit. So if your true size is a 34G(D4) you would need a 36 E(D2), which this bra unfortunately does not come in the new size you would need. We suggest trying the Elila 1301 this style is much softer and would come in the size you would need. Elizabeth from Massachusetts

Does not hold up large breasted women well enough. Lets you sag.

Elila Response: If you feel that you need more support double check the band to be sure that you can only fit two fingers underneath. If you can fit more than go down a band size and up a cup to get better support from the back. Anne from Casa Grande

I call this bra "old faithful" I always return to this style for an everyday lift, separation, and nice looking breasts. Shoulders have pads which help as you get older and gravity begins, the back does not ride up, and the reinforced cups keep your breasts looking their best. Wendy from Apache Junction, Arizona

This bra looked nice on the site but on my body the band does not have stretch at all so I had a hard time putting it on and adjusting the straps it just wasn't for me honestly.

HerRoom Response: On the Elila softcup styles we suggest going up a band and down two cups for just the right fit. So in this case you would wear a 40 F(D3) if your original size was a 42 H(D5). Elaina from Austin

If you are a woman with a large chest this bra is for you. The 3 Part cup allows for support without underwires. It is a stiff bra without a bunch of spandex in the material (again, for support). If you've never worn a bra like this it takes some getting "used to". In my opinion it is worth the "trouble." I actually enjoy this bra. It fits very well and looks good. There is no spillage and the straps are comfortable. The delivery time was great! I am a very hard to fit - a 32" rib cage and a 46" bust. I purchased the 34N, This bra fits according to most bra conversion charts I have viewed. The band is tight fitting with a slight stretch. The materials are heavy gauge;(that is necessary at my size). Yes the materials are stiff and scratchy at first, but they become more comfortable after wearings. This is a wire free bra. It offers good support and full coverage. NO it is not sexy, but ladies with large breasts need support. I was glad to to see the upgrade from plastic to metal clips on the straps. However, they did not hold up much longer.... I am going to stitch my straps in place. Sandra from UK

This bra definitely lifted like I need without use of underwire, but the trim on the inside is very itchy. I like the bra, but the itchy lining will probably keep me from buying another.

Elila Response: Thank you for your comments about the lining of the bra. It's best to hand wash and soak your bra before wearing to remove any finishes on the fabrics that may be abrasive. Charlene from Alabaster, Alabama

I bought this bra thinking that it would fit similar to the Elila 1303. I was wrong. While it appears to be cut the same, I found that the cups did not fit the breast nearly as well. It also does not have the boning on the side, which allows the cups to sag, rather than support heavy breasts. The shoulder pads do not stay put. I found it to be too long on the sides for my short torso. I am 5'2." The bra is well made and may work well for those who do not need firm support.

Elila Response: The Elila Jacquard Softcup Bra with Cushioned Straps 1305 is an extra firm full containment garment where as the Elila Lace Soft-cup Bra 1303 has a more forgiving fit. To get a more comfortable fit with the Elila Jacquard Softcup Bra with Cushioned Straps 1305 adjust the straps so they are tighter to lift the cup and help keep the strap pad from slipping, but not so tight that it hurts your shoulders. You may also put the extra strap length through the pad to give it more staying power. B from OH

Great bra, nice fit. I have worn daily for about a year. Not sure why it says in descrlption that the buckle has been field tested and never broken, the buckle on mine broke after only a few months! After putting buckle back together, it wouldn't stay together. The buckle is the only uncomfortable thing about this bra. If you don't mind it poking into you or can remove the buckle like I did (after it broke) and replace it with a different adjuster, then its a good bra. It has great coverage and is supportive! The only thing that would make this bra better is to have nonstrechy side panels and the straps placed where they wont fall down. Pearl

True to size. Not sure what to do with the glider on the shoulder because it does not stay put. I am always adjusting for comfort. Not one of my best buys. Joy from Florida

Tried this bra when I grew out of my Goddess. I was in a smaller size, but have gained a lot of weight this year and my breasts grew with me. LOVE this Bra! The band is a little snug but that can be remedied with an adjuster. Love the wide straps and wide five hook back. The cups have an inner sling in them and it helps to shape heavy breasts. I am in the 52N-cup size, could use a bigger cup still. Wish they offered this Bra in an O or P cup size. The Bra is stiff at first, but provides amazing uplift and separation. Really sticks them out there, I feel perky! Overall excellent construction for heavy breasts. Great Bra for the full busted woman. Try it, you won't be disappointed. LM from NY

I have a hard time finding anything in my size (34M) let alone a soft cup. This is one that actually supports. I've never had a soft cup that supports before. The only drawback is the width of the straps makes wardrobe choices limited. (I'm one of those old-fashioned people who thinks bras shouldn't be showing.) Molly from California

Very well made but the metal strap holders, although very necessary, are not comfortable. They dig into my shoulders. If they were made of something else this would be the perfect bra. Jessica from Virginia
