Lovely design, as always with Curvy Kate. Very good, slimming cut. Submitted from

While the panties are super cute, there are inherent design flaws. I normally wear a size 10/12 dress. However, I went up to a 14 in these panties. The cute ribbon running across the top does not stretch. So, even though the panties stretch, the ribbon stays fixed and pulls against the side seams. Plus, the way they have finished the ribbon in the center is not well done. It appears that they melted the ribbon to keep it from fraying. This leaves a hard, scratchy edge that completely dug into my tummy. Nicole from Boston, MA

The Curvy Kate fit great and look great, However the ribbon separated from the seam during the first wearing. Hopefully it will not happen to the others.

Curvy Kate Response: We are so sorry to hear this happened to your Portia short! We have logged this complaint with our production team. Jen from Florida

Great design. Harsh fabric. Not good for the sensative skin.

Curvy Kate Response: we haven't had anyone complain about the Portia, a review like this is highly unusual. I would suggest washing the panties by hand, cold water with a very gentle, non-abrasive product and laying flat to dry, over time the fabric will get softer and softer.
