it did not fit properly, made a wide chest

Vendor Response: The C Chic 3582 3 part cup offers shaping and support. Chantelle makes several 3 part cups which offer different fits based on the wearers needs and body type. We would suggest trying Chantelle's Cachemire bra 3371 3 part cup which has great shaping and centers the breast tissue. This could solve the wide chest look you experienced. This bra is totally sexy with the sheer cup tops. I really, really want to keep it, but I might send it back - I bought it with the Chantelle Rive Gauche 3281, and I find that one fits me better. I couldn't figure out why, because they are the same length and appear almost identical in construction, but I finally noticed that the underwire on the Rive Gauche extends further under my arm (the cups are wider, basically) and I find that to be a better fit/more comfortable for me. I hesitate to send this one back though, b/c I love the style. I still haven't decided what to do. It's beautifully made and the fabric is not itchy. Sarah from Los Angeles

I have the same story many women do about finally discovering my bra size after having been sized with a too-large band for years. This bra is *amazing* - perfect fit - what a difference! Very slimming. Better support than most sports bras and looks way better D from Chicago

Beautiful bra, just not enough support for me. I prefer the Wacoal Alluring bra. jme from Morton, IL, USA

Great fit! Holds me up without making me feel like I'm wearing a push up. Nice and smooth under almost anything. I bought this in black and tan and love them both! Jessica from San Diego

My size prevents me from going to a store and trying on bras to see how they fit and feel before I buy them. All I can do is take my measurements, follow the size chart, and read other reviews. I really researched this bra and brand in hopes that I would get a good match. Big disappointment. The cups were at least 1 size too big, but maybe more (again, I followed the Chantelle size chart). The bra was huge on my petite frame, and reminded me more of a granny bra than the picture of the bra on the model. Also, the underwires didn't stop in the same place as the bra on the model...the wires came up a couple of inches higher on my chest than the model's chest. I suppose once you go past a B or C cup, the underwires need to go up to your neck! Containment of all the breast tissue is nice, but the underwire was so uncomfortable that I couldn't wear the bra. Just ridiculous. The design might work on a much taller woman, but not my 5'2" frame. The actual construction of the bra was nice....well made and pretty fabric....just not a good bra for my body. I was hoping to try other Chantelle bra and panty sets because they look so nice on the models, but I guess I'll pass after this experience. Very disappointing.

Chantelle Response: Because you are petite in height, where the underwire sits under your arm can be a problem. Chantelle makes many different 3 part cup styles simillar to the 3281 that would solve your problem. We would suggest you try the following styles which have a lower underwire height under the arm. Promesse 3635, Pont des Arts 3946 or Amazone 2101. Suzanna from Seattle, WA

The construction of this bra is great, however the straps sit farther out on the shoulders than appears in the picture of the size 6 model. I measured a 40 band size and should have ordered a 44 band size in this bra. The cups run small. This could be a comfortable bra for some women but order bigger than you normally would. Not a fan. very small fit and it squishes. was disappointed.

Chantelle Response: Chantelle makes several 3 part cups which all fit slightly differently to address all the varied body types. We would suggest trying Rive Gauche 3281 which has more forgiveness in the cup or Cachemire 3371 which has a deeper cup. Erin from Canada

The bra fits perfectly. I love the shape it gives me. It is also very comfortable. Thank goodness for a professional fitter who told me to start wearing this size. Who knew? Who even heard of this size? Thank goodness for Chantelle for making this size an option. Linda from Elk Grove, CA

I love this bra, it's probably the best fitting bra I've ever had as far as good support, coverage etc. is concerned. However, the bottom of the cup is too large for me. The underwires hit my ribcage and there is at least 1/2" of space between the crease of my breast and the bottom of the bra so I'm returning it. I also tried this bra in a 32B and C, but the band was too large and the cups didn't fit. I'd love to try a 30E but it doesn't come in that size. I rated this bra 5 stars because it is so beautiful, supportive and well constructed, sadly it's just not for me. Kathi from Lakewod, Co

In as i was looking for a bra that was not contour, this did not fill the bill. The bra was uncomfortable. The cups were made to an odd shape. Companies should bring back bras as they were 2 years ago. Selection was better and so was the fit.

Chantelle Response: Style 3582 is a a 3-part cup which offers more coverage, shapes or centers breast tissue and provides additional support. We would suggest trying a Chantelle Hedona 2031 which is a seamless molded style without the contour cup. You may also consider Chantelle Sublime 3951 which features a spacer foam cup which is a thin breathable foam which does not add size or bulk to the cup. barbara from milwaukee WI USA

Well constructed Bra that works perfectly with my narrow back and full front. Most other 32E's I've tried tend to pull my boobs too wide apart. Helene from Houston

This bra is great-pretty and great lift and support. What I don't like is that the tips of the underwires dig in and cause bruising between the breasts. It makes it quite uncomfortable by the end of the day and I can't wear it two days in a row because the spot is tender the next day. I don't know if it comes up too high or is slightly pointed in or what. It hurts. Possibly a fit issue but I got professionally fitted so I don't think so. But it makes me look great which is hard to find in my large size. Katie

This is really nice, but the band runs small. I comfortably wear 36DD in other Chantelle bras, but needed 38D for this one. Lisa from SF

No support. Only buy it if you have silicone holding your breasts up or you like to dangle and bounce.

Chantelle Response: Style 3582 3 part cup offers full coverage and will provide support and lift when worn in the correct size. This style is designed for an average to full busted/full figured woman which is different than a traditional full coverage full figured bra. Lori from Virginia

Love this brand. Love the fit. My only minor complaint is that the under-wire extends up the sternum a little higher than average and 'sort of' digs in more than I'd like, but it fits so well and looks so great, I can't complain. It's what keeps it from being a 5-star in total. Great company- consistently. Hapster from Chattanooga, Tn USA

This is the first time I have tried this bra. I find it fits good but the 40 feels more like a 38. The wrapped wire on the side is nice as it keeps the breast in the cup more than a bra without it. However it sometimes pokes the under arm. I haven't completely decided if I like or feel comfortable in this bra. undecided. Sandi from Las Vegas, NV, USA

I like the bra a lot, it fits well and the seams are not real obvious. My only complaint is it shows through solid color items because of the pattern on the material. I would like it in a solid black, white and beige that could be worn under close fitting tops and have it not show through. Mary Kay from Richmond VA

This bra has great support, tacks well and although doesn't label itself as a t-shirt bra is fine with t-shirts. The design on the fabric doesn't show through. I really like this bra! GH from WA
