My size prevents me from going to a store and trying on bras to see how they fit and feel before I buy them. All I can do is take my measurements, follow the size chart, and read other reviews. I really researched this bra and brand in hopes that I would get a good match. Big disappointment. The cups were at least 1 size too big, but maybe more (again, I followed the Chantelle size chart). The bra was huge on my petite frame, and reminded me more of a granny bra than the picture of the bra on the model. Also, the underwires didn't stop in the same place as the bra on the model...the wires came up a couple of inches higher on my chest than the model's chest. I suppose once you go past a B or C cup, the underwires need to go up to your neck! Containment of all the breast tissue is nice, but the underwire was so uncomfortable that I couldn't wear the bra. Just ridiculous. The design might work on a much taller woman, but not my 5'2" frame. The actual construction of the bra was nice....well made and pretty fabric....just not a good bra for my body. I was hoping to try other Chantelle bra and panty sets because they look so nice on the models, but I guess I'll pass after this experience. Very disappointing.
Because you are petite in height, where the underwire sits under your arm can be a problem. Chantelle makes many different 3 part cup styles simillar to the 3281 that would solve your problem. We would suggest you try the following styles which have a lower underwire height under the arm. Promesse 3635, Pont des Arts 3946 or Amazone 2101.
