Finally, after many years of bra misery, I have found a superior bra that provides all-day comfort, wonderful support, and an attractive minimizing effect, so that I can wear anything I want and it looks quite fine. The superior construction and materials prevents this bra from losing its shape over time. I never thought I would find a bra that I actually ENJOY putting on because it feels GOOD! This bra does everything it promises. I feel and look 10lbs. lighter and can wear all the tight fitting T's and button downs without feeling like I have to keep checking the pull apart buttons. This is the first minimizer I've ever bought. I've read some other reviewers criticize this bra. I love it. I wear a smaller cup size than most of the reviewers who didn't like it, so I don't have any problem with where the breast tissue goes. It reduces the projection, is comfortable, and looks good. The straps are a bit wide, which I like. If they were to show on a neckline, it just looks like I'm wearing a tank top under my blouse, rather than my bra straps showing. J.T. from Boston MA USA

Chantelle's Volupte has way too much coverage and actually hurt my back it fit so low on the ribcage. I would recommend this bra only for those who measure 38 and larger, who have a strong build. Chantelle discontinued their Soprane minimizer and I can't figure out why because it was such a superior bra to this one. Soprane was better for smaller-build women who do have large chests and need an effective minimizer that doesn't cover our entire torso. Jeanne from Brooklyn, NY

As a 34G, I was looking forward to a bra that could decrease my bust measurement by an inch or two. Well, I guess this bra does it, but in SUCH an unattractive way that I feel like a freak. So yes, I understand that a minimizer has to put the boob somewhere, but this one puts it down and to the sides. So now I look like I have large, wide-spaced, saggy breasts. Everyone's favorite look. It kind of looks like my boobs are two large, flat pears with the thin part in the center of my chest and the wide part pointing to my armpits. This bra is just not working for me. Just wanted to let those that are my size (36H) and want to know how this bra's sizing runs. They are pretty sure to size. The 36DDDD (which is a 36G) is actually too small for a 36H. Chantelle 2361..Minimize? Yes. Attractive? Yes. Comfortable? No. This bra seems to be made for a person with a large rib cage and a narrow back. Not suitable for the smaller person with a large bust. Also bones at sides pinch and poke. I will not buy again.

HerRoom Response: If you are small in stature, a minimizer might be too much bra for you and thus poke you. We recommend you try a demi bra which has shorter wires.

This is the first minimizer bra I've ever tried that actually minimizes. I can finally wear button down shirts! I haven't experienced the creaking problem, but I do hand wash only for underwires. plick from Washington, DC

Best bra ever. Perfectly comfortable and supportive. Makes me look like I've lost 10 lbs. The only problem is machine washing; the underwires can work themselves out of the casings after just a few washes. I find it less trouble to wash by hand. The bra is worth it.

HerRoom Response: Underwires can work themselves out of the casing if not washed carefully and at least put in a lingerie bag. Also, never wash a bra in hot water - the casing will shrink and cause the wire to poke out.

I bought this bra during pregnancy because I had to have larger bras. Mine also "creaked". (2 of them).

HerRoom Response: We contacted Chantelle about the "creaking" issue. Their Marketing Director responded that this symptom can happen with many bras - not just Chantelle. If the wire isn't placed just right in the channeling, the wire could move slighly and cause a "squeaking" sound. Chantelle also stated that they stand behind all their products. Should a customer not be satisfied with their Chantelle products because of this symptom, they would be happy to take it back.

The support is OK, the minimizing is OK but mostly just smashes me out to the sides. But the bra "creaks," i.e. it makes noise when I move, which is kind of strange. Maybe machine washing caused it, I don't have the patience to hand wash. I wouldn't buy again.

HerRoom Response: A minimizer bra is designed to reduce breast projection. It does this by flattening your breast tissue and moving it more under your arms and towards the center. No bra can reduce your breast size; it can only manipulate your breast tissue and put it in other areas. As for your "creaking" sound. That is a new one to us. We will pass your comment on to Chantelle.

WOW!!!I LOVE this bra. Belive me, I have tried many, many minimzers and none ever really did the job this bra does. Before discovering this bra, I still struggled with "peek-a-boo at the pulled button" blouses. Before this bra, I couldn't wait to get out of the under garment because it soon became uncomfortable. Before this bra, I was seriously considering breat reduction, Since my purchase, it's the only bra I wear. I must buy a few more as soon as I can afford them...they will be worth every dollar. This bra is definitely a minimizer! My 34dds (32 dd in this bra) lost at least 2 inches in this bra. They were actually a bit too flat. Amazingly this bra despite the massive minimization was extremely comfortable and the fabric was very breathable. My only other comment is that because this bra is a microfiber bra, I'd only wear this bra under thicker clothing otherwise the "nips" are very obvious. N.D. from Laurel Maryland USA
